Winters Magic Rocket

With a sad heart I am selling Rocket. He is a 5 year old solid sorrel registered paint horse gelding. He is trained for trail riding but can be trained to do anything since he is so smart. I just can not afford to keep him with him being boarded an hour and a half away. I love him and I want him to go to a good home with buy back rights. I don't have a set price since I am not sure what he would sell for. If you know of anyone who might want him please pm me. Thanks.

aw, I hope you find him a good home. Have you thought about "giving" or "leasing" him to a summer camp? Some camps even keep the horses year around. He'd be well taken care of and used. Plus you would be able to visit him.

I have tried but can't find anyone to take him for a free lease deal. I am surprised since he is a good riding horse. Not for a beginner but a good riding horse for someone who knows how to ride period. I had hoped to find a horsetopian that would be interested in him but no go so far.

Post some pictures and plenty of info on him here. I work part time at my local tack shop. I can show him to good family people and see if any of them are interested, even if just for the summer. I know who all the horse traders are and I won't even talk to them about him.

I hadn't tried that. I will post on there if this sale falls through.

I had a call on him this afternoon. A teenager of all things but she sounded like she knew what she was doing. This is her first horse, she has ridden before and she just loves his pictures. So we shall see. He has been ridden by a 16 year old girl before who knew horses so I think he may do fine. Now what I am wondering is coming up with a contract. I want full first buy back rights, I don't want him ending up in an auction. Anyone have a good one that they might be able to help me out. I am so new to this.

Well Rocket is still for sale. The girl that wanted to see him never called or showed up. So I guess back to the drawing board. I can't help but be a bit relieved. I am selfish and I want to keep him. I know that he will be better off with someone who can give him all the time and attention he needs. But I keep thinking that one day I will be in a better financial spot and can take care of him better. Just a hard spot to be in.

I would suggest trying to list a free lease add on horse tradin classifieds. This way Its possible that the person leasing him may like him enough to buy him in the future, and you will get a chance to see how well they get on together, before just letting him go.

I feel for you, I am in a similar situation, and i know how hard it can be.

Ok now all three are for sale. Here are pictures of them. I hate doing this but I don't have a choice.
Rocket

Swift Burn Dandy

Cheyenne's Painted Blaise

Yes that is me. Dandy is in Lexington Kentucky. I live in New Albany when I moved here I had to leave my babies behind. Here are some better pics of Dandy.
