Midwest Horse Fair anyone?

Is anyone going to the midwest horse fair in April? We're trying to go to see the mustangs! They have a midwest mustang makeover, like 70 trainers have a mustang to saddle train & everything in like 100 days! It's AWESOME!
http://midwesthorsefair.com/ Just wanted to see who's goin!

I may try to go, but I'll be out of a job, have to drive 2 hrs to get there, and won't feel like buying anything because of the job situation. So I have a feeling it will be more frustrating than it's worth.

I would like to go, my friend is going but she has family up there and is planning on staying for the weekend. We were planning on going to Rolex but had to cancel those plans so I was hoping we could make it to this.

Oh I would love to go! I'll have to see about saving up some gas and hotel money. As that will be quite a drive for me. Thank God I have a Desil truck. But I have a desil "Bug" too and may take it. I get 48 miles to the gallon with that car!

So did anyone else get to go? We drove up yesterday morning...got there areound 11:45am and stayed until just after 4:00 pm. I would have liked to have stayed longer...we were on the move the whole time but I do not think we even had time to see half of what was there. We did stop in and watch a couple of the mustangs being worked. My husband and I took our 8 year old daughter with us and she was a real trooper, but by 4:00 she was done in.

My only complaint was they did not have any organizaion at least on Saturday with their parking. People were just parking where ever they could find a spot, we drove around for a half an hour just trying to park. Finally they did sort of get there act together and had a few people trying to park people and started some rows. If we go back next year I will definatly go up and spend the night.

We went Friday & Saturday! I agree, parking was TERRIBLE! People were parking anywhere they could fit their cars/trucks. My favorite was looking @ the babies & mustangs! We've been to the Extreme Mustang makeover in Sept, so we were looking forward to the MMM. They weren't as trained. Did you see the one man fall off of Bud Light? Scary! Ok I'll be quiet now.

We only got a chance to watch a couple of the mustangs so no we did not see the man fall off of Bud Light. We took my 300C as we were having some work done on my Tahoe. They had us park in a field in probably the furthest point from the horse fair you could get, I was sure it was going to get stuck as it is a rear wheel drive car. I can get stuck in it in an inch of snow. We walked through a lot of the breed barns and shopped some. I fell in love with the Gypsy Vanners and as I am already in the search for a second horse I am now looking for a 1/2 Gypsy as the pure breeds are way out of my price range.
