Moving back to FL - thank goodness

Hi everyone,

I have finished up my thesis for graduate school this week THANK GOD!

I will be returning to my beloved home - FLA at the beginning of August.

Wanted to find out if anyone on here is from the Central FL area? I am moving to Winter Garden - out near Disney to manage a farm for a year before I head to Medical school.

I have plans to start a training program, and maybe take on a few boarders.

If anyone is in the central FL area - do you have a good farrier that does not charge an arm and a leg?? We have one in the area ---but my horse had a bad experience with him a long time ago, and I would not like to use him again.

I am also going to be looking for a safe trail horse for my fiance. He loves leopard appys for some reason -that would be a bonus. If anyone has one for sale let me know.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I am not quite done yet - still have to present a seminar and defend my work...but hopefully that will be a breeze.

Heard its been raining quite a bit the past few days! Ahh...how I miss looking at my watch every day and saying "time for rain, get the horses in!"

My fiance is already there missing me like crazy!

p.s. my price range is probably $1,500 at the absolute MAX right now...not sure if said horse would work

I know of three farriers that might travel out your way, they basically go everywhere pretty much. Price range for a trim from 15 to 25, shoes up to $150 area.

If you want I can PM you their contact info.

HEY, Renney is a wonderful horse!!! Ya don't see any alligators performing in Hogtown, do ya??? I have an undergraduate degree from UF and Graduate degrees from FSU. I try to ignore the whole football thing.

Congrats on winding up your program.

I might have a nice, safe sane trail gelding if you could handle a sorrel QH. I could always spray paint him. I will know by the end of next month if the lady leasing him is going to buy him. All depends on her hubby
