Good information. I had heard about this new statue. Should help encourage honesty and good will in our industry.

It was on our news this morning.
Buyers also have the right to examine any Vet records.

This is all a good thing.

Where do you go to find this? I would love to know about this in Georgia too. I think Georgia folliws FL closely on some of the laws. When I sell one, they can call my vet all day long. I have no issues with that.

Our vet wont release any information to anyone without the owner giving permission. I guess if you ask for the info and the seller doesnt want to give it to you its considered an unfair and deceiving practice. It doesnt say what if any punishment would be given to the seller for witholding info. Im glad they require this now as there are so many dishonest people.

Kinda like a HIPPA rule for us. Can't give info out w/out proper permission.

HIPAA, woman! Just kidding, I know you know those laws like the back of your hand.

I think this new law is going to change the way many horse dealers do business. That is not a bad thing...
