New Rescue in Florida!

Hi everyone. It had been awhile since I have been here but I wanted to let everyone know I did get my rescue up and running!!!

We have 6-horses in our care right now.

Thank you everyone for your support. Most of you remember this all started with a horse named Hope in February. Hope is doing great and is ready to be adopted.

Site is looking good.. and what a blessing for those horses to have found you guys..

Can't wait until you add the "after" photos - it is just heartbraking to see how sad and thin those poor animals were

We are going to take current pictures today. (If it is not raining) So keep checking in!!!

You will be amazed with Hope. It just goes to show you they don't have to be skinny when they are old.

I think that is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Oh they are old that is why they are 200 pounds underweight!!!!!

yes i understand we have arescue aswell we just got a thor. sat. he was so bad and his owner said he is old and his teeth need floated my god he had three abces in on hoof and near founder on his other hoof he is so starved

Fortunately for me I am like maybe 3 minutes from their house!!!!! When I have time I get to go visit. Hopefully shortly I will be able to go visit!!!!

I hope that all goes well for you. Maybe we can work out some type of network so that our (Florida) rescues can network, and therefore benefit more horses in need. Unfortunatly, the problems are becoming all too common.

bunnyal: We are in Auburndale, which is right between Tampa and Orlando off of I-4.

I wish everyone could make it to the poker ride. It is going to be a blast. We have been working on it non stop for the last couple weeks and have a ton of cool stuff!!

jcarnahan: You are right we must work together to help the horses. I am throwing around some ideas and as soon as I get something concrete I will see what you guys think.

I was able to visit this weekend and see all the rescues!!!!! I tell you what I was their when Hope arrived and she looked bad!!! She has turned into a beautiful horse!!! Doesn't even look the same. The other rescues she had (can't think of her name at this second) but it was the one they didn't know if she was going to make it or not, I saw her 2 or 3 days after she arrived and she looked seriously bad, I couldn't believer it. But when I saw her this weekend I was like you are kidding me, that can't be the same horse!!! They have done amazingly with her!!!! You would never be able to know that horse was sick!!!! She is beautiful and you would never know that was the same horse if you had not seen her!!!

Of course I have to brag on the little colt her mare just had!!! Ohhhh weeee he is a hansome thing!!!!!! Talk about muscle and a nice butt!!!!

Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

Yeah- they have done some awesome things with those horses & I think it is Faith(??) that Cash was talking about........... She is beautiful!!!!!!!!!! Her rescues are all doing wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! And I have to agree with Cash, her new colt is a cutie-petutie!!!!!!!!!

Oooops- sounds like to the roundpen Cash & I go for not taking pics!

Oh no not the round pen that is gonna hurt!!!!!! Well I had planned on going by but couldn't get a hold of her and then at the last minute I got a hold of her and we swung in!!!! So I didn't have a camera with me!!!!
