Moving to Macon Ga?

We MAY be moving to Macon, Ga sometime next year. It's not definite yet but I want to be prepared just in case. Can anyone from that area tell me a little about it?
Housing with land--we have 3 horses
Schools
Farriers
Equine Vets
Gas prices--lol
Hay
And anything else you can think of....
I'd certainly appreciate it! Thanks.

Well, Housing with land... Is hard to find. Dependin on which County. Several counties in the Macon area. Bibb, Jones, maybe another.

Schools again which county and district. My daughter is in private so if it is public thunderbay might be able to help.
Farriers: there are a few good ones... a few bad one and some stalking fruitloops.
Several vets that are good, mine is not taking new clients I don't think.
Hay: last time I paid 6:50 square bale. I think 65.00 for round.
Gas I paid 3.61 for reg today and desiel is around 4.60.

That is what I can help you with right now. Any more questions.. Too bad you did not come last year, I had house on 18 ac for sale.

Housing with land can be hard to find and/or expensive.Warner Robins/Perry/Byron has pretty flat land. Some parts of MAcon/Lizella can be hilly. I like Forsyth/MOnroe Co. They also have good public schools and lower taxes. Better than Bibb. What grade(s)?
Farrier: I like the one that Cameo uses. Goin got switch eventually.
There are several vets around that are good.
Gas $3.61 depends on the day.
Hay $5.00/sqaure $65 round

There are gangs toward town so stay to the out skirts/country area or towards north Macon or Sub-South areas.

Thanks for the info!! It's not definite yet but I like to plan ahead so when we negotiate new pay and everything I know what I'm aiming for. As for school I'll have one heading to college, a junior and a 8th grader. The schools here are very good. Hay is about $5 bale/square, great farrier, great vet and I paid $3.25 for gas yest. Land is plentiful but I'm limited to my school zone so right now I board because I can't find anything in that school zone.
