A friend of mine has a horse with allergies. She tried all she could to get him to be comfy but her property just doesn't work for him. Now she is looking for a new home for him. Can anyone help? Please pm me if anyone is interested!
Spirit is a great trail prospect, great personality and has been saddled and ridden a couple of times. The problem is spirit has allergies to bermuda and timothy grass, quess what, I have bermuda grass. He is also allergic to oats and corn. I have tried the allergy shots, and it is not getting any better. The feed he gets has so little oats and corn, I believe it is the bermuda grass that keeps him itchy. Spirit needs a good home that does not have bermuda or timothy grass. There are feeds that have little or no corn or oats, so that should not be a problem. He is registered spotted saddle horse and is 1/2 TWH and 1/2 MFT. Spirit is a bay tobiano and is already 15 hands, and a very nice horse. Willing to sacrifice for a small fee to a good loving home. It breaks my heart that he is out there itchy every day. I do not know what else to do.
