Looking for a couple mini's for the grand daughter

Hi everyone,
I have decided to sale several of the larger horses and get a couple more mini's. Our grand daughter is 3 and she likes the small ones best. Does anyone know of any for sale around the Georgia area? Thanks in advance, Kim

Hi there

shoot me an email and I will find you a breeder if you give me the city you are in

Miniatures and grandkids are always a great thing! I would suggest a gelding

How short do you want them to be? I have a mini gelding that is 28 or 29" tall. If only you were a little closer.....

We are going to look at a couple of mares at this lady's place. She is in Alabama, but is getting out of the business. You might pick up just the right one. I know nothing at all about minis, but here is her website. www.prettypony.com

Good luck!

I went and looked at that site. Please remember miniature horses are never paints. They are pintos

If you are new to buying miniatures always be sure you get the papers when you buy the horse. Never buy a horse on "application" because this usually means the papers are no good.

If you buy a bred mare you should get her papers, AND A BREEDING CERTIFICATE signed by the breeder with the stallions name and dates she was bred. Many new people dont know this and end up with a foal that cannot be registered.

You should also always get a health history of when shots were done, last deworming, last farrier visit and what the horse is currently eating.

I have been selling miniature horses for 15 years and I have never sold a mini weanling with an application that was not good. I do not think giving advise in general terms because it hurts folks that give applications to register a mini foal. I have never had a problem with the 200 babies I have sold even when I had 4 stallions and 85 mares.

Purchasing a bred mare should have breeding certificate and breeding dates
Even dealing with the Miniature Horse Resgistry and the Miniature horse Assocation have been very helpfull when there is a discrepency about breeding dates.
Just buy a mini and have fun. purchase as if you are purchasing another horse.
Not all dogs are papered and not all horses are paperd but if it is was suits you than that is all that counts. Jo
