Looking for a horse trailer

Hey all, I am currently looking for a reasonably priced, bumper pull horse trailer. Nothing larger than a 2 horse because I only drive a Ford F-150.
I would like to keep the price around 1000-1500, and I know that is going to be hard to find one in that price range that is in fairly good condition.

Anyway, if anyone knows of a trailer for sale, that sounds like what i am looking for, PM me!
Thanks
Becky

Hamps had one yesterday that didn't look bad for $1500, but I didn't look at it too closely. Want me to take another look at it for you?

Carri - That would be great if you could...just let me know what you think. If it is something you wouldn't haul your horses in it, I am probably not interested.

Thanks Huckabuck for looking for me!!!!

What part of Ga are u in.

Hamps is a good place but i have found better prices elsewhere. 10 yrs ago u couldnt beat his prices but he has got like most tack shops and is overpriced. He is still high but give it a little time and one will come up u like. I get emails all the time of trailrs for sale and i will let u know when i find 1 in ur price range

I am in middle GA. Musella is a small town 30 miles west of Macon, 20 miles south of Forsyth, and 45 miles east of Columbus.
Thanks for looking for me!

Off topic, I apologize, but I think we looked at a mare in Musella once when we lived in Columbus. Beautiful registered appy at an Arabian farm, do you know of any there?

Right off the top of my head, I don't know of anyone that is into Arabians around here that had an appy mare for sale. I have 2 arab-appy crosses, but they have never been for sale!

Wow, I need to start shopping where you shop, Huckabuck! Hamps is by far the least expensive place around here... Have you been to Atlanta Saddlery lately?

I do most of my shopping online. And where he is located at he dose have good prices but alot of his stuff i have found cheaper online or tack stores that are out a little farther. Sometimes might have to order it but id rather save a few dollars than to have it right then. Some things he has good prices on. His rubber matts are great and cheaper than anywhere i have found. As far as halters i use rope halters and i got a buddy that ties them and he is alot cheaper than u will find anywhere. Hamp makes a trip to Tenn. and buys his saddles. I cant remember the name of the place but he gets um cheap. I bought my saddle from him after checking around and paid a little more for it but i got him to change out a couple things and got him to throw in a breast coller and a cinch. So i actually came out a little better.

I was at the feed store today, Hay Stack on Pionono, on the bulliten board outside has a 2 horse bumper pull for 1200.00. I do not know the condition, it didn't say. Call the Hay Stack and see if they will give you that number.

Thanks, Cameo, I will call. I have been looking online, and so far the ones I have found in my price range look unsafe or are too far away! I guess I will just have to wait another year and get a new one.

Well, I called and got the number. Turns out it has been disconnected or changed. No other info. Oh well!

Thanks for looking for me, though!

I got my market bulletine today and found a couple trailers

heres the link
http://www.agr.state.ga.us/mbads/Ads...CategoryID=450

I also pull a 16 ft stock trailer with my F150 with no problems. I have pulled it with 5 horses in it. I did install a electric brake box in the truck. Before we bought our lq trailer we pulled it with all our gear and feed in front half and horses in back to alot of diff places to ride. Just a thought

I saw the trailer you are looking for on craigslist, 2 horse bp. Decent trailer for 1500. It was on the atlanta craigslist under farm related I have an email he sent me with pictures if you want I could forward it to you. I also saw a 14 open stock trailer on the link that huckabuck posted for 600 bucks. Then you could haul two horses in the back half and have the front half for a tack/changing room ( your F150 would definately handle it ), here's the ad.

14' cattle trailer with center gate bumper pulled, $600. Glenn Darnell Dillard 706-982-2878
