We are waiting on it, looks according to the radar to be anytime now...It is a cold blowing wet sleeting mess right now, temp is 33 but 24 with the wind chill. I have some grumpy ponies.

It has been snowing here since this morning too.
Imagine if it had been below freezing all day, we would be under a foot of snow.

I think that to Jules. If it had been colder we would be in trouble. Now if I can get those photo's up it was sticking. My daughter had a ball. Horses were ticked off. Schools are closed here for tomorrow. The roads will be icy not snowy.

Isn't weather in the South great!! We had a junion high school and church trashed by a tornado yesterday (about 1.5 miles from the house - scary!!), and today we had four inches of snow. Tomorrow it will be ice and the next day it will be slush and mud!

You gotta love the South's weather!

Snowed all day here, beautiful big flakes of snow, but then it started melting...and the wind picked up...and it got cold, really cold.

We are keeping our farriers two geldings for him, he's in the military and due to pending divorce had to suddenly find somewhere to keep his horses...long story, but we ended up taking them in for him. Well, they didn't have blankets, and it was snowing, and there isn't even a run in shelter in that pasture, just a couple of skinny pine trees.

So, as soon as the snow slowed down, we made a mad dash for the tack store, bought blankets for the boys, dried them off and blanketed them and moved them into another pasture with more shelter. My hands and feet haven't thawed out yet! And it's supposed to be 27 in the morning!

When we left the barn, our horses were huddled in their blankets in the run-in shelter...and they are so mad at us! Not only did we make it snow, we moved the geldings into their side pasture!

We got 4-5 inches in the Walton County area. I was so surprised of all the snow and my girls were tickled pink since this is their first real snow. I told them to enjoy it. It might be a long while before they see it again.

Oh I also have pics

First my Fortune (in the Blanket) and his buddy Frankie in the snow. He did not want to come out from under the shelter for nothing.

Then some around the apartment

The dogs Polly and Rosie hating the snow

And the 3 children playing in the snow

This is probably the most we've had since '93.

Cute snowman!

Oh yes I remember that. I was a teenager and my dad decided to goof off in the yard in his car before going to work and got stuck in the snow. We built a huge snowman too. That was some crazy snow.

We got snow, too! The kids built a snowman. It was really wet, slushy snow. We are lucky the temps dropped so drastically AFTER the snow fall, or we would have been covered up!
