Roosters

I really need to get rid of some of my Roosters. I am tired of breaking up fights between them. Right now I have 2 on my sunroom porch. My Cuckoo Muran and my Barred Rock. I have 2 Americanas, 1 RIR, 2 Buff Orpingtons or Buff Rocks(not sure which one they are), and 2 keepers for sure. Anyone want any Roosters?

3 of them will come when I call them. I have real origninal names for them Cuck, Blackie and Yellowyellow The others are PIA, meanie, red,Texas(keeper),Handsome(keeper) and Yellowfellow.

If I wasnt deathly afraid of roosters, chickens and ducks (dont ask) I would take one. I always found it quite funny on "real" farms, not like my barn with my horses, that chickens and roosters seem to make themselves at home wherever they please

Now if that cuckoo Maran was a HEN...but I am just going to get 2 gals. No roosters. I hate my neighbors rooster he is always bringing his flock in MY yard...so we have to build a chicken tractor for OUR hens to live in when we get them. That is so not fair.
I love those-have a pic of their eggs to show?
chocolate eggs..yep that is why I want them.
PS glad to see your Hawk bit rooster is doing well.

That is my problem. I can't let the girls out without them being molested by all the roosters. I do have a small portable pen that I can put 4 hens in but not all 8. Then I have Momma hen who will beat any of the roosters up that come near her except for the daddy of the chicks.

Blackie, my Bared Rock Rooster is so tame, he will come when called. He even went with me to the feed store today. I just covered the seat with paper and off we went. This was the guys expressions when they saw him in the truck They couldn't believe how gentle he is.

I now have my found again rooster in the house in a box as the others were beating the tar out of him.

I am such a softie when it comes to my animals.
