When I say something......I mean it.

Meet Joessie (Joe for Andre's dad and Jossie for my granny).

My friend called me yesterday needing to rehome her as she is stupid friendly and was getting out of her corral to go visit the neighbors when no one was at the barn. I had been waiting for her buck and this girl to have babies then take one of them but she'll do just fine (hey, it's possible she may be prego already can they get knocked up at 5 months??).

I can't get over how incredibly friendly she is, as soon as you enter the barn or field she comes running to you. Horses are ok with her, just crowded her at first and the dogs pushed them away but when the horses are not near their herding instinct is RETARDED!!!!! 4 GSDs and boarder collie/akita . Had to take them all out and leave one in at a time so they can get use to her. Achmed thinks she is a new play mate and pounces on her, Shyla thinks she's a another dog that she rough plays and gets Sexie Rexie to join in. Poor thing is so overwhelmed, so Rex is in there alone with her and they are getting along just fine. I think Shyla once she relaxes will be her protector as she lays around her and growls at anyone that gets too close. Haven't tried the other 2 GSDs just yet.

Anyone have an idea as to what she is??

She's a cross with Saanen and Pretty! I don't know what the third piece is. She looks "milk bred" as far as breeds go. Depends on how big she gets, Saanens are huge!

When I had Peanut the Lamancha goat and Boston the little barn dog, they would both run through the woods behind us on trail rides. The goat refused to be left alone. He kept up pretty good! He'd hollar at us if we got too far ahead though.

One night I sat in my car to listen to how long he'd cry after I "left". The barn owner came down and said he shut up when he heard my car pull away. I would have sat there all night if she wouldn't have told me that. Both him and the horse knew my car, as soon as I pulled in the horse hung his head out of his stall window and the goat started hollaring to be let out. Then the horse would start yelling.. I'd feed everyone, give pats, then turn them both out. They'd follow me around the pasture, it was cute.

I had to give permission to the other boarders to let the goat out because he'd hollar at them too. There was a pygmy goat up in the second barn, but they wanted nothing to do with each other. Mine thought he was half dog, half human, the other thought he was a horse. I paid $25 a month to board him in a pen I built in front of the horse's stall.

Yes, yes and yes . It works AMAZING, within 24 hours the sticky tape was full and so was the tray. It seems to be working with all biting bugs, sqeeters, black flies, deer and horse flies.

You sure she's only 5 months old? She has quite a set of horns for one still that young.... Even my yearlings don't have horns that size yet.

She looks pygmy-ish to me.

I agree she looks saanen cross. She does have quite the set of horns. I have never seen one with horns so I dont know if they tend to have more horns or what. My 6-7 month old Nubians dont nearly have that much horn though. Hmm.

Those are awful big horns for that young, but we disbud ours, so I dont really know what they grow like.

Maybe Sanaan Nigerian Cross?

Yes, they can be bred at 5 months, and as stated, thats NOT a good thing. They really are not mature mentally or physically at that age. The earliest I have heard of breeders breeding is at 7 months to kid at one year old. We dont breed our Nigerians until 2. (Or turning two when they are due to kid)

Dipper is only two. His mom was the BC and his dad the Akita. he's just about the biggest baby you could ever meet, but keeps the neighbors running scared with his bark. Absolutely the most adorable dog I have ever owned. He use to be a mainly inside dog, but is getting too big for out little house, so spends a lot of time outside, lounging underneath our pine tree.

All goats have horns, male or female, with the exception of "polled" goats who are naturally hornless.
Polled goats are not a breed, it is a genetic thing.
We have a polled buck, he "sometimes" has polled kids, usually one out of every 2/3 kids he has are also polled.

Don't worry, that's normal!! goats don't have top teeth at the front, they just have a fleshy pad to bite against. Weird huh!!!

My goats love to "help" as well xD just the other day I was cleaning out their house (gosh I love goats but it's so gross they pee on the bedding that they're eating and sleeping in!) and one is standing right in the way of where I'm shovelling the bedding and the other has his head in my pocket ... They're also really good at putting their nose right where you're trying to hammer a nail. THANKS GUYZ.

ETA: Oh! Speaking of shelter, a bit of advice just in case you don't know (apologies if you do!) it's extra important for goats to have shelter because their coats really don't keep out the rain at all.

Those ears look like saanan ears ... congrats anyway on a super cute new addition to the family <3
