I love my chickens... but....

NOT in the house! Geeeesh.

Had front/back door open this morning while watering flowers and washing Sophie's buckets... saw one chicken hop up the steps an proceed through the front door... went chasing after her.. meanwhile, 2 others were already in the house.

The dog has this look on it's face like, "Don't look at me, I didn't do it!"

It must be the day for chickens in the house. I found my Cuckoo Muran rooster in my house when I came back from feeding the animals this morning. Of course my dog, Sissy, can open the door as it has a handle. She let him in.
He has been staying in the sunroom as the other roosters are beating him up but I found him under the TV stand. When I call him, he answered. He didn't want to leave. It took a little encouragement from me to go back out to the sunroom.

lol your chickens were looking for you I love when my chickens see me and come running to see what goodies I brought them today.

Your dog is good with chickens! A few of my dogs are good but I have 2 that if they saw a chicken in the house it would be killed in an instant.

My chickens do exactly the same thing, they're such little buggers!

LOL... Yep, both my dogs don't bother with the chickens... Shelby (the one in the pic) is entirely USELESS as a farm dog and Cody is small.. so the chickens actually kick HIS butt when he goes near them

I had an animal attack (no clue, what.. no fur left behind, nothing) and lost 3 chickens this week. I'm actually wondering if these girls are just a bit more clingy than usual right now.

Ferronsgranny.. I don't know about you... but I draw the line at chickens and horses in the house!

B-Mark you had a animal take 3 chickens! I had one chicken dead last week, a big puff of feathers near the body. Some meat was stripped from bone. It was killed in the daylight, I think it was a hawk Now my chickens act nervous, more clingie and run across any open ground to stay near cover. They are no longer care-free chicks-they have learned there is danger from the sky!

Those hens there match the decor very well...could put a few nest boxes in the kitchen, not have to walk for eggs!

Hahah that's awesome! I used to know someone who let chickens in the house ... they had poo all down their hall and when you opened the cupboard they kept sheets in there was a hen brooding in there! xD
