Pure or Cross La Mancha?

I got some goats from an auction, and I had thought then to be pure La Mancha but one of my friend said she thought at least one of them was a boer cross. What do you all think? This was them when I first got them

Not the all white one in the front but the others.

The two I kept [The brownish red head with the white body is the one someone thinks might be La mancha boer. They were all from the same seller.

It's really hard to say having a red head does not always mean it's part Boer. The ears are generally a dead giveaway though, on the smaller red/white kid I can't see the ears very well. On the bigger on she very well could be a Boer/LaMancha also thinking because she still has horns. Most Boer breeders leave horns on and most Dairy breeders take them off.

Cute goats though

I think the red head is what makes them think boer. Everything about her to me says La Mancha. But Im not that experienced with boers.

Well couldn't the other black headed goat be a Boer cross as well?
I love the la Manchas..whatever the cross is it is an attractive one.

I can't be sure...though the elf ears could be the genetic influence of a Boer on a LaMancha that had no ears.

In my experience, my Boers stamp their cross babies very, very hard and no matter the color of the mama, they come out with the "hood" of a Boer and it's not always red. I have 2 100% Boer's with fully black heads.

Our son has been raising LaBoers for the last few years all had elf ears but he's got one doe that has as close to a gopher ear as she could get. He's gotten two solid red does, an almost black buck, a red hooded doe with roan body, black and white paint and a buckskin paint.

All of the LaBoers we have are sired by Full Blooded Boer bucks not Boer % bucks....with red hoods. The second generation LaBoers all are also sired by Full Blooded Boer bucks have had floppy folded over ears like dogs, they also came in a variety of colores we've not had in our FB herd.

LaManchas are a colorfull breed so you never know what color your going to get. We bred a Purebred Sannen doe (white) to a Purebred LaMancha buck (also white) and got one one kid with elf ears and one brown/white kid with elf ears. Color is a crap shoot even with-in the Purebreds and w/o knowing the breeder I'd say it's impossible to tell for sure what they are.

Very possible although I know a breeder personally who has a hooded doe that is a Purebred LaMancha. Hoods do not always mean Boer just like 4 teats do no always mean Boer. I've personally seen 4 teated does in several breeds of Dairy goats. Whatever they are they are cute but then I just love LaManchas and baby goats are the cutest things.

I would suspect boer as well... We have bred LaBoer for a few seasons, and have only had one come out with a variation on the white body and colored head... She has a hood and a "cape". Anywho, without papers, it's impossible to know. They are adorable though! I love my little crossies!
