Pygmy goat wormer?

I was wondering what I should use to worm my pygmy goats? Any suggestions?

We use safeguard- just a bit on your finger- like the amount of toothpaste you would use and put it right on their tongue

Manna Pro makes one that is very simple to figure out the correct amount. My goats eat it with no problem, even the picky one!

We use Valbazen 1cc per 10#s
Ivermectin Injectable 1cc per 50#s
Strongid horse wormer 250# increment 1 per goat unless it's a big goat then 2 increments.

We always used generic Ivermectin and guessed at the weight (just a smidgen should do it).

Like Karen Cole, liquid Ivermec in the mouth and I now rotate with Safeguard for goats, double dosage for tapeworms.

Apparently I'm an idiot--I've never thought of worming the goats for tapes. I do not know why, I worm everything else for tapes.

Thanks for mentioning that Range.

No not an idiot you just didn't know there is a difference at least you are asking questions and willing to learn. One thing you will hear is Tapeworms are not invasive and will not kill. Truth is they will I've seen it first hand and goats that look stunning can be loaded with Tapes. I had a Boer doe that was all of 200#s necropsed the vet could not belive she had so many Tapeworm eggs in her stool. This doe died from a gangreen uturus infection but the vet gave her a full necropsy.

Don't worry, I never really thought about it until I had a few unthrifty goats...then they had a blast with a pine tree and I saw the nasty tapeworms! Now, it's definitely part of my rotation.
