She's coming from Ohio at the end of the month and I've only owned horses in Ohio and New Jersey. Is there anything specific to Florida I should know and prepare for? She's going to get body clipped before she comes down so that she isn't too hot in her winter coat. I'm guessing I need to get Psyllium or something like that to prevent sand colic? How often does she need that?

Anyone else transplanted from the North with tips or things to expect as we adapt to living in Florida? FSFF works great on thrush. My mini is prone to thrush and FSFF got rid of it
and now I just use it as a maintience 2-3x week and no more thrush. Its all nautural and not caustic. Won't damage the tissue of the hoof. I threw out my thrush buster long ago. Any hoof chip or crack, put some on it to. Farriers here really reccomend the stuff and my vet likes it too !!!!!!

I am in need of help. I had leased out my AQHA mare, Delightful Yankee, aka Dixie last winter and now she has seemingly "disappeared". Ive been trying to locate her for months without luck. If any of you in the central FL area might have seen her or know anything about her please PM me.

Dixie is a 14-14.1h stocky 5yo (almost 6 now) sorrel mare with only a small white star on her forehead. She is very sweet and loves people. She had just weaned a foal this past June. Her companion was a 19yo sorrel Appaloosa mare standing about 15h, wide blaze and hind sock. I have already located this mare but not Dixie.
