One is an Overo her name is My Pal Vista. she is a comming 3yo by Conclusive Encore out of a Noble Tradition mare. the other is a 13 yo SBP broodmare.. Her name is Ratchetts Cindy Lu .she is by Ratchetts Parr out of a doc bar bred mare. She has had 7 foals to date 6 fillys and one colt. I got her as a rescue earlier this year.

I have finally gotten the guts to join, I have loved this site ever since I found it on google while searching about horse training advice.

Last year I adopted a two year old, now three year old paint filly. She and twenty other horses were being shipped off to slaughter until these two other wonderful people rescued them. I saw their ad in the paper that they were looking for volunteers and being a horse lover I simply could not refuse. I helped out there for about four months and then ended up adopting my little girl Ava, and I have had such a blast with her ever since.

I got my first horse 3 yrs ago. We're both old-ish, I'm 46 and he's 22. I guess we make a good match... I'm unemployed and need to find a place where I can keep my horse where I just have to keep him fed until I start having an income again. He's good where he is until the end of December 2009, then he has to move somewhere else.

*Becky..Most people call me Beck and my parents still call me Rebecca occasionally...

*I just turned 40 on June 6th.

*I was born in Rochester, MN.

*I have an older sister and an older brother.

*I have 5 dogs, 2 house cats, 6 barn cats, 3 pygmy goats, an african grey parrot, a 55 gallon fish aquarium, a 20 gallon fish aquarium and of course 2 horses and a pony.

*I'm still a stay at home mom.

*My dad has always had a horse so I acquired his love of them. My love of the horse, is what keeps me in them. I will always have a horse even if I don't ride. I love their smell, the sound of them chomping on hay, their big beautiful eyes.........

*I've had horses all my life.

*I recall seeing a picture of me riding at age 3...

*My favorite breed of horse has always been the Quarter Horse.

*When I do ride it is very casual around the yard or around the farm riding. I'm hoping in the future to venture out onto more trails and do some group riding.

*Western

*My favorite horse was a horse named Del. I rode her when I was a teenager, my fearless years. She was a grey 1/2 Arab mare. We had a wonderful relationship and a great connection. I've never had that kind of a connection with a horse since but hope that I will again someday.

*It is a "big" commitment! Big manure, big food, big pasture.....but I love it and woudn't want it any other way!...but you need to be commited.

*Reading, hiking with my dogs, taking photos of my family and pets, and gardening.

*I think I was looking something up on the net and ran across it by accident. I'm glad I did.

*WOW, that's a tough one....I can say this...I so appreciate the knowledge, the humor and comradery of the members of HT. It's just so awesome! OK, OK, I'll say...Calicocalgirl...because she seems like she lives a fun horse life, I always love seeing her photographs, and like many of the members on HT she just seems like a darn nice girl.
