What happens when sis takes pics

I wanted to get some pictures of me riding Sunshine. I'm breaking her out and just started loping her. I asked my younger sister Danielle (who at one point thought she wanted to be a photographer) to take some pictures for me. This is I got (she said the digital camera messed her up).

a few head shots
not too bad

then this one

a headless shot

some butt shots like this

some back shots

and some pictures of my round pen panels

She did get a few decent ones, but I think I'll ask Brittany tomorrow.

Hoping that is not Jimsonweed on your round pen. That is poisonous to horses. And people. Your horse is nice.

It's pokeberries. It's not poisonous but does leave interesting purple spots on the horses. My weed-eating consists of walking the fence with a machete and whacking down whatever threatens to short it out. Since they don't threaten my fence, they get used to desensitize the horses to have branches/leaves touch them on the side, stomach, and flanks.

Actually, it looks like Pokeweed, which is also poisonous to human and horses, but is appaently not very tasty to horses - they make faces if they accidentally get some in their mouth.

It's almost imposible to erradicate completely.

The purple juice from the berries stains horribly.

In her defense, it is really hard to take actions shots with a digital camera with a delay!!

Well, if you tape the 1/2 pic of the front end, to the 1/2 pic of the back end....
You can see your horse !!!!

Those round pen panels are absolutly gorgeous !! Centered and everything !!

That's pretty funny - lol! Although I got a LOT of pictures like that with my junky little Nikon Coolpix camera too; the delay sucks! We got a much nicer camera, that takes picture after picture instantly, and while I'm still trying to figure out all the bells & whistles, takes some pretty awesome pictures. But I sure feel your pain!

I will say that the pictures did give me enough of a glimpse of both your mare and saddle, and I REALLY like both of them! How old is Sunshine? And I'm looking for a new saddle, can you tell me about that one, make, model, etc? THANKS, and good luck with strating Sunshine out.

Well, since I now found out pokeweed is poisonous after all, it is now gone. e
In the camera's defense, I have no problem getting nice action shots (its a Sony Cybershot).

Alberta Girl,
Thanks, I'm really pleased with how Sunshine is growing up (I posted her pics awhile ago in meet the horses: then and now) and the saddle is pretty comfy too. Sunshine is 2 (will turn 3 in October). As for the saddle, its a Royal King but that's about all I know. My grandmother got it as a saddle for her 3 years ago and may have used it once. I just started using it, I have a Circle Y synthetic that travels with me (I train at several barns) and I use this one at home. The stirrups are a tad to long, but other than that its not too shabby.
Here's a better pic of it.

I needed a chuckle on a Sunday morning - especially liked the topline conformation shot...

Nice looking mare...

Sorry to brust you bubble but the poke weed may be gone now but it will be back. I have been fighting it for over a year and thought I had cleaned most of it up but this year it came back even worse than before. I even used weed killer on it.
