I voted "other" since Mountain horses have to be my favorite. I've owned Fox Trotters, TWHs, Peruvians, Saddlebreds, and a host of others and nothing compares to the Mountain horse in terms of personality. My husband calls them "mountain goats" since they have that goat-like curiosity, and many people call them the "jersey cow" of the horse world. We'd been married over 10 years and my husband never did much with the horses.... until I got my first Mountain horse. Then everything changed and we ended up getting him one of his own.

I think every breed has something to offer and it really depends on what you are looking for. I wanted laid back, curious, people-oriented horses... I just didn't realize how people-oriented they were going to be!

What!? no Tennessee Walking Horses?? They are my favorite, better be as I have about 25 of them. But I do have a certain fondness for a good Appy. One of my first horses was a cranky Appy mare that could do anything. She even taught my kids to ride.

Love an Arab and also American Saddlebred (used to show 3 and 5 gaited). But, lately I've sure been eyeing the Rocky Mountain breed. They tend to entice me for some reason.

I definitely love a good sturdy QH, but I love an appendix bred too.

Love them all really, but for some unknown reason riding gaited horses makes me nervous? I can do whatever on a QH but heaven forbid you ask me to get on a gaited horse The way they move just makes me feel like they're about to come out from under me!!!

I'm the same way...I don't hate them...I just don't like riding them. I wouldn't mind owning one for halter shows.

Arabians are my first love! I also love Morgans, Morabs (Morgan/Arab cross), TWH and Friesians.

All of us seem to have the Friesian on our list. Hmm, maybe because of Keegan.

I voted Other.

My dream horse if I were wealthy would be a Gypsy Cob.

I really like the old fashioned Morgans.
Dispostion, healthy, versatile and sound in one package.

I like friesians the best. I think they're so majestic looking. I don't own one....yet...but one day I will. I hope to have one in...oh i don't know...lets say 10yrs. They're so expensive!! Once things are paid off I'll be making a friesian account to put money in. It will happen.

My close 2nd favourite horse, and it's a very close second...is Quarter Horse. I call them the gold fish of horses. I'm bias though. My mare is a QH and she's is beyond awesome. My 3rd horse will be a QH (4th horse will be a friesian)

And I do love the TBs. I will never buy another one. But I love my gelding and he's an OTTB. They make good horses I've just had on going problems with mine

Appys are my favorite and always will be -- mostly because of my gelding. But my second choice are Friesians because they are so beautiful and talented horses. My friend got me hooked on them, she boards her TB at a Friesian farm and ever since my first ride on one I've wanted one. But Appys are still my absolute faves.

Mine will always and forever be the awesome Arabian, but I'm kinda fond of my Friesian cross too!

I marked "other"...anyone that's read my post would probley be able to tell I'm a TWH/SSH nut.

There's bad apples in every group but I love the easly going nature, the personality, and the look. And esp the gaits...there's nothing better to me than hitting the "sweet spot" while going down the trail.

I'd probley choose TWH if I could only choose one. All the SSH I have have strong walking horse lines and obvious influence~but being as they are a color/gait breed rather than a bloodline breed I think I'd go with the purity of the TWH over the melting pot of the the SSH. Guess a DBL or triple reg TWh would be my dream horse.
