RIP my sweet Daisy Mae

I am still in shock, nothing about today seems real. My beloved Daisy Mae was wagging her tail when I left for work and only hours later I am burying her.
She had a terrible bloat that occured within two hours and with the best doctors at her side and surgery God decided he wanted her to be his special angel now.
I rescued Daisy Mae when she was 5 weeks old.
It has been an honor and my priviledge to share my home and my heart with this magnificant creature. with tears rolling down my face I bid her farwell for now as I know that I will see her again someday.
RIP my sweet girl.

She was one of my favorite Horsetopian canines.

thank you so much for the kind words. My heart is broken. My seven year old daughter found her down having trouble breathing while my husband was unloading hay out back.
She called me at work and didn't leave her side. I am so very proud of her and her loving nature. Daisy was her buddy and she will miss her. Sadly some of lifes lessons are harder than others to learn.
I keep looking for her. it just hasn't sunk in yet.

To Great Dane owners that is the worst word ever. Bloat. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you are feeling. I am still mourning my Riley who passed suddenly of kidney failure. We give them love and they return it 100 times over. They leave us way to soon. I am sure Daisy is now running around chasing butterflys. No more worry of Bloat. You will see her again. RIP Daisy

Oh no, I am so very sorry! I've always loved that bottom photo of her and your daughter.

She was a gentle and loving soul, it's obvious in the pictures. Take peace in the fact that Daisy Mae was very much loved and in turn she loved you back. That is very special, especially since you saved her. I don't understand why these things have to happen, God just needed another sweet angel up in Heaven.
