Sick puppies? Sad update prayers needed

I have a litter if pups right now that are about 7 weeks old. They are playful, energetic, eating puppy food well. running all over the place.. basically terrorizing the whole world.. ( well at least the part they can get to)
But I noticed yesterday one of them had diareha (sp?) by evening he seemed to be OK and no messes in the crate last night.. but now this morning there is anthoer one that has it.. It is only one and like I said everybody seems healthy except for that (bright eyes, alert ,cool wet noses and no temperatures)
anybody have any ideas as to why? or what I could give them to help them out?
I really don't have a bunch of money to take them to the vet to have them say "must of ate something that didn't agree with them" However, if the general consenses is that there is something major wrong I will find a way to get them there.. By the way they are a chihuahua toy poodle cross if anybody is interested in one!

Do the adult dogs have all their vaccinations?
Have you or your family been in contact with sick dogs within the last 6 months?
Have you switched dog foods?
Have they started eating dog food?

Have they been outside in the heat?
Maybe try giving them a little yogurt? See if that will help their little bellies?

They do spend the days outside in a play yard in the shade on my porch it has a concrete floor that stays cools and a big blanket to sleep on. I bring them in at night. It hasn't been extremely hot here this week but I hadn't though of that. I will try the yogurt and see if that helps Thanks.

Have a snap test done for Coccidia and Giardia. Very easy to treat and very common, tends to cause the runs in puppies, but most adult dogs have built up an immunity to them. Found in anything outside that might be wet.

Otherwise yes, plain yogurt is great for upset tummies.

Did they get first shots? and perhaps having a reaction to that? Did you check to see if they have a fever? Perhaps worming is needed.
Perhaps still getting adjusted to the food, Just so much than can cause puppy to have diarreha
When I had Rottie puppies I started them on human baby food. easy to digest

could be puppy worms. try giving them boiled chicken, chopped up with a little cooked rice. and see how they do on that and then I would give them a good puppy food like science diet. that will help with the runny poops.
they they really should be wormed and start there shots soon.
Good Luck

and where are the puppy pictures

Sad update, prayers needed.

Sad news everyone. yesterday the pups were diagnosed with parvo. Of course my regular vet did not have any test do I had to go to the humane society.. they don't treat parvo cases but can test for it.. anyway, I was given and estimate by my vet to be about $600 per pup to treat.. way out of my price range The humane society gave me a take home kit to treat them with and we tried that but unfortunately we lost 3 of them last night. 9for those of you who do not know this, the virus itself does not kill them, dehydration does, We are not sure were they got it from since my dogs are healthy and never leave the property. I am not keen on other peoples dogs comming on to my place. I can only assume that the mom picked it up at the Emergency vet clinc a bout 3 weeks ago (she had preclampsia).. I vaccinate my pups at 8 weeks but my vet said they can still get it until they have had all three sets of puppy shots.. so even vaccinating at the earliest I could which would have been one week ago would not have protected them..
Thanks you for all of the advice and ideas now if I may ask for your prayers, please keep the two remaining pups in your thoughts.. they are doing well so far one does not even show signs of being sick the other is keeping the pedialyte down and seems to be taking to the IV treatment OK.. maybe they will make it.

Oh, I just read this thread and so sorry to hear that they have parvo...you are doing everything that you can, and in my experience, even with hospitalization the outcome is not great....so don't feel bad about not hospitalizing them. With the i.v. treatments and pedialyte at home, you are doing all that the vet would do. You might want to google Parvo treatment...when I had a kitten with feline distemper (similar in symptoms to parvo) I ran across a lot of websites that talked about parvo and had advice for ways to try to help the puppies through....

My prayers are with the remaining little ones....

I knew they had parvo. It is the number one killer of pups. Always get pups shots for parvo. You can bring the virus in on your shoes, other dogs can bring it to pups. I am so sorry for you and your pups. I was just reading and scrolling and knew it was parvo. Used to raise Belgian Mals so watch everything with pups when you are raising them I am so sorry again and hope a couple survive for you. Chances are not good with parvo. I thought you started earlier with parvo shots, maybe it has been too long and I cannot remember but I thought we had given a couple if not three before pups left at twelve weeks.

I am so sorry. Parvo is awful and can last between 6 months and a year in the ground or other affected areas. At least that is what I have been told. Clean everything you can with bleach and water solution.

I am so sorry to hear about your babies It's hard on them, but I've had 2 puppies that pulled through without vet help.

I hope they get better. Sending my prayers.

Unfortunately it's true. Most puppies don't live through Parvo. The best thing you can do is keep everything steralized. Give them as much pedialite as you can. The thing about Parvo is that it dehydrates them. If you have to lay them on their backs to keep the pedialite in them, do it. KEEP THEM HYDRATED! I can't stress that enough.

I am so, so sorry. Tamiflu is proving to be a wonder drug in treating Parvovirus, and it is not that expensive. Maybe it would help the remaining two? Your vet may not have tried it, so he may be reluctant, but we are having good success with it at our clinic. We have not lost a pup to parvo in a really long time (close to a year).
