Aren't you guys lucky :) ???

Since we all agreed I shouldn't tell the rescue all the details of the trials and tribulations of introducing Sammy to the pack...and since I have to tell SOMEONE...you all get to be the ones!!!

So here are some pics and videos of last night's escapades:

Walking up to the horses...I feel like the pied piper

LOL they don't look very comfortable, do they? However...they are next to eachother and there's no fur flying!!!

And here I am, jumping right in to play with them...again...Axle's kind of keeping his distance...but not killing Sammy!!!

And here are little videos...

And last night...we all "slept" in the bedroom. It was, shall we say...interesting. But I know we're getting there.

LOL Kelli...you don't recognize that big fat butt? No matter how thin I get...that butt is unmistakable!!!

I had to make the disclaimer on youtube "only kidding about the fighting part". Didn't want anyone to think I'm promoting dog fighting!!

My commentary is always for you, Kelli!

Thanks Melissa!

Well...I came home tonight only to find Dennis's hand a bloody mess. Apparently he thought it would be okay to eat his dinner on the couch, right in between Axle and Sammy....Well of course they got into it...and Dennis decided to stick his hand in the middle....and he got badly bitten. By the time I got home, his hand is huge!

I sent him to Urgent Care...he said he didn't want me to take him...and now I feel guilty for not going.

But this isn't really a good sign...I am re-thinking whether Sammy is the right dog for our family. I mean I'm afraid to have other people around them. What if they go at it with other people around them?

Oh, no! That is awful! Do you think he needs stitches? Make sure they give him some antibiotics...

You need Ceasar Milan the dog whisperer to come and help you out! Your dogs are beautiful

It's possible that he needs stitches. I don't know.

I asked Dennis if he thinks we need to give Sammy back...and he says that this was entirely his fault...but still...what if a little kid is eating a lolly pop...or something. I am just totally worried about this whole thing.

I am thinking long and hard.

That is what I was thinking. He'd have a solution to help you help the dogs.

And, btw, your butt does NOT look big!!

LOL thanks for the butt comment!

I have been emailing with my personal Ceasar! She's a dog trainer from whom I've taken obedience classes.

Anyway...she says what I've always known! If Dennis doesn't assert his leadership over Axle...there are problems and will continue to be problems. I had my own problems with Axle in the past and had to do some "I am the boss" training with him. Dennis just lets him get away with murder.

I have already been working with Sammy on waiting for his food...and not standing over me when I eat...and I go in and out the doors first...all that good stuff. Dennis needs to do the same with Axle.

So I basically told Dennis that if he can't be the boss man over Axle...then I'm not going to keep Sammy because I want to have a happy peaceful home.

He said he'll try.
