Okay...so those of you who saw this thread know I have a new doggie.

Saturday night we got no sleep at all...and last night was much better. See the above thread.

Today I took some pictures. Poor Sammy is being stalked. He couldn't take a step without Axle dogging him!

Dennis and Sammy and Axle

Poooooor Sammy

But here's some good news

Sammy has discovered the wonderfulness of horse poop!!!

From reading all the responses on the other thread, I understand your problem.
Guy didn't have any idea on how to train a dog when we met. He knew they needed it, but had no idea of how, nor the time to do it, so never had a dog. I have had many dogs over my life, and competed with several of them in various sports. He thought I was being mean when I snapped my fingers and dogs moved or went and layed down or came to heel!

10 yrs later---dogs move when Guy says git. It takes SO much longer to train a man about dogs than a dog about your rules!!!
Yes, 9 mths is a puppy, but not the same as a baby--once the size of adolesence has been gained, the attitude begins, and the older male sees that.
Kudos for keeping on top of things--great pics!

Thanks!!!

So far, by default, Sammy is MY dog...because Axle won't let him near Dennis. So today I saw Dennis giving my horse a cookie and then MY DOG a cookie. So I'm like...IF WE WANT SAMMY TO ME DOG STOP GIVING HIM TREATS!!!!

Awwww they're like shetland ponies! I want one!

Just think.....sooner or later, Sammy will be twice Axle's size...and then what? HAHA GO SAMMY!

sadly, I rarely see size make a difference in the order of dogs...but we can hope right!

He's too cute. And the drool only gets worse! Our old neighbor bred St. B's and MAN...2 males and a female all full grown....going to pet sit was disgusting HAHA

I don't think Sammy's going to be bigger than Axle. Axle's quite large in his own right. The pictures don't show it because of the angle...but right now Axle is still quite a bit bigger.
