Anyone deal with Lymphoma in dogs?

We just found out our dog has lymphoma, it seems to be in all lymph nodes but she is not sick yet and has not effected anything else as of yet. Anyone ever deal with this. We will probably not be able to afford the chemo route but may do the prednisone. Anyone have experience with this. I was reading on the net that left with no treatment we can only expect 6-8 WEEKS with her. Any advise?

Our old Dobie, Vince had it. He probably had it for a long time before we actually new it though. He had several fatty "tumors" along his chest wall and belly. He was already an older dog with a poor past health history so we were a bit more prepared for health issues.

We knew he had a more serious issue when he banged his knee on the back steps rough housing with the younger dogs one day and it never healed up. It quit hurting him and he quit limping on it but the joint got larger and larger. So we took him in where they determined he had lymphoma and because of his age (12-16) we could either have him put down then or take him home and keep him happy and comfortable which is what we did. I'm not real sure how much longer it was until he told us he was done and the pain was too much. He had also started to loose control of his bowels and quit eating as well.

I would say we had him with us for 2-3 years after we started to notice the belly tumors.
