I hope someone nominates the dog for Dog Hero of the Year. There is such a thing, I think Purina sponsors it. Lucky for all to be alive.

You gotta wonder about someone who'd re-enter a burning building just for a set of keys. She's lucky she bought that dog - I think it has more sense than her.

I was just thinking that too Jilly, while it was a noble thought about the keys, it probably wasn't the smartest move she could of made

She is very lucky they didn't lose the keys and her. Keys can be replaced.

Sometimes when one panics they don't think rationally. My mom tells a story of a man that panicked and ran back into the burning building throwing out the window items that broke and then carried out a pillow.

Lets all hope that we are not put in this situation where we are put to the test. I was burned out as a kid. Luckily I was at school at the time but our neighbor almost went down with the apartment building trying to save our dog. Unfortunately the puppy perished in the fire. The neighbor had first and second degree burns. He kept apologizing profusely to my mom that he tried to save our puppy. His possessions went up in flames. Why didn't he try to save his own belongings.

This woman is lucky to have a loyal companion with a level head.
