Horsin' around with the dogs!

So as I said in another thread, I was out playing with 2 of our dogs. I thought I should get some pics of Yeti out in the leaves and send them back to her breeder who loves seeing pics...... ..... not that easy.

This is about the best one I got...

This was taken before she whacked me in the head...

This is Josie for ya! She loves to show her tummy and I thought it would be cute to get some pics of her doing just that....

And this is the last picture I took, and just as I took it Yeti whacked me in the head with that huge stick she had in the 2nd picture! Lesson learned, never ignore a Newfie dog.

Looks like you have a happy and energetic pair of girls there. They are both lovely! and yes, when your dog reviles in size to a small mac truck.....might be a very good thing to not loose sight of her!

Beautiful dogs. Are they both newfies? Love Josie's face in the last picture. Is she a camera ham or what?

Yeti is a purebred Newfie, Josie is a mutt!

I'll get pics of Yeti's boyfriend soon enough. It's not in stone yet,Yeti still had to be approved, but I don't see any reason why she wouldn't be.

Say WHAT!!! You asked if we wanted to see a new fella and you have NO PICS! Just who is this new guy? Where does he come from? What do you mean Yetti hasn't been approved?! We all know she's got potential. Isn't it suppose to be the stud that has to make the grade?

Maybe Yetti needs to whack you in the head with that stick again.

Josie is such a ham. Love the pics

The stud dogs that I'm looking at are located about an hour and half North of me. I haven't met them to see what their temperments are like so it's still kind of up in the air. I do know that I want Yeti bred to a more experienced male, one that will get in there and get the job done if you know what I mean! Conformation wise, Yeti believe it or not is a smaller Newfie, I would like her pups to grow to be a bit bigger.

I've e-mailled this breeder a few times and he says he has to approve Yeti before she gets bred to one of his dogs. It makes sense I guess, but Yeti is a nice looking girl, I don't know why he wouldn't like her.

I have asked for better pictures of the studs, but I haven't gotten any yet, so these are the pics from the site. I'm sorry, they're not all that great, but you can see that the dogs have lots of room to move around, unlike the other breeder I went to see.

The first is Gus, a senior Landseer male.

The second is Hobie, a solid bronze male.

They also have 3 other studs, but they are all very young, and the pictures don't do them justice. One's a black and white Landseer, the other is a solid bronze and the other is a solid grey.

If you have your heart set on one I'd go with Gus. You have mentioned the Landseer with excitement before in your posts. But personally I'd keep looking.
