How exciting! Congrats.

We adopted a little Husky (Border collie as well) cross female a few weeks ago. I think it has been four weeks now...
Anyways, I will give you a quick idea of how she is.

She is a runner. She cannot seem to get enough of running around the backyard. We keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't get too hot or tired!

She hates the heat. Isabelle's favorite place is right on top or in front of an air vent.

She has learned to howl...one of the cutest things I've ever heard!

Isabelle is one of those diggers. She really loves digging. We are going to build her own little sandbox to dig in. That way the flowers and veggie gardens MIGHT be safe.

She is extremely high energized but extremely intelligent as well! I honestly have not ever had a dog that picks up on obedience as fast as she has.
The family across the road has an Akita. She is usually pretty nice...a little food aggressive. I do not know her well enough to say that is because of her breeding or if it is a learned behavior.
Isabelle, our husky mix, is bonded strongly already with the humans in our 'pack'. I agree that puppy classes should be a must! We are going to be starting our classes next week or the week after! I will be happy for Isabelle to have puppies her own age to play with!
Good luck with your puppy/puppies!
