Now I want a corgi. Our old vet used to have one, named Bud, and he'd take with him everywhere. He'd walk around like he owned the place! They really do make good dogs! Mona looks a little embarassed in her pink coat! HAHA to cute though!!!

Heidi,

Kind of off topic, but how do you put your signature on your photos? I have some nice photos that I think are worth taking credit for and would like to sign!!

BTW--AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I think corgi puppies (and adults) are just the Cutiest things EVER!!

As a pro photographer I sign all my images in one way or anouther. The digital ones are farly easy. You can do it several ways. I do in the code and also as you can see on what is seen. I do it through photo shop. Take a blank and use your text feature. Type out your name as you want it to appear. When you save it keep it in layors so you can move it from there to an image. Save it in a tiff for mat.

Oooh, Corgis!

(Or as we call them here - Sawed Off Shepherds. )

Both of mine are placement/rescues. One spent five months of her life mostly in a crate, and the other the other was bought by a customer from a local puppy mill dealer. (And yes, they deal in some pretty sick and unhappy dogs.) Oddly enough, it was a chance meeting when I bought my horse - I happened to see the teenager walking a Corgi pup and of course, had to stop.

Three weeks later, said pup was dropped off on my door with his "papers" and his gear by an overwhelmed family. So, hey, horse and new puppy at the same time.

I can say though that I will never be without a Corgi from now on. I just really like the breed, even though there is such a huge difference mentally between the Shepherds and the Corgis. You tell a Shepherd, "Jump!" and he/she says, "How high, ma'am?" Tell a Corgi and they go, "What will jumping do to further my goals of World Domination somehow?"

I have more pictures somewhere - but I'll add later, got to run to work!

Riley loves Dusty. Dusty really does love Riley... honest.

Riley, the James (okay, Jimmy Dean) of Dogdom.

Trans-Am's and Corgis. Great combo for having the guy in the car next to you stare at your dog and nearly get himself into an accident. Whoops!

Riley hard at work in my pet shop...

Eep - double posted, I think. Man, this new software and I hate each other, apparently.

But hey, for fun - my shop logo, here...

See, they really are trying to take over the world.

*laughs* We have six cats too? I wonder if it's a Corgi thing?

Riley loves his kitty (and yes, he is pulling pretty hard on his tail in that picture) and the kitty is the main reason we kept Riley instead of placing him. Literally, I put the puppy crate down, the cat took one look, and they played with each other for five hours before they finally managed to take a nap. I have pictures somewhere; I was just shocked that Dusty liked this puppy so much so instantly.

Now, well, I wouldn't be without Riley either. Obviously my special needs cat needed a special needs dog! *grin* (And hey, I needed to replace all of my carpet with mopable wood flooring anyway. )

Him and Dusty are best pals - they chew bones and treats together (the cat is the only animal in this house allowed to chew on the bone at the same time as the dog) they sleep together, they pull each other around the house by their tails. They wrestle and chase all the time and play with the Wubba-Tug toy together.

Piper, on the other hand, isn't much of a cat-dog. She's not mean to the cats, but she fears their wrath and gets out of their way when they're looking at her. Actually, all of my dogs are incredibly respectful to cats.

I'm laughing at the ribbon picture...

"Why for you stick a bow on my head, mom?"

Hey, Bumper attaches himself to him the same way Dusty clamps onto Riley... Bumper's cute, too! How is he doing, healthwise, poor little guy?

Bumper is doing surprisingly well. He is on special cat food so his kidneys dont fail. He is a little under weight because it takes about five minutes to eat a piece of cat food, but he is pretty healthy. we rescued him from the idaho humane society nearly two years ago, he came to us through a foster progam with an upper respitory infection. when he got better they told us we had to either keep him or they would put him down because of his condition...so now he is the main attraction of our family
