Yeti!

During the hot summer days, you can find my Newfie dog asleep on this ugly couch in the basement! The only reason why we have it here is because it folds out into a bed (don't tell her that). She seems to like the couch just fine though, see for yourself!

She looks good on the orange and yellow

Funny how a big dog like that can be so cute!

What a cuddle bug - I'm surprised you're not curled right up next to her!

Look how good Yeti looks with the orange!

The people that own the barn we board at has a Newfie. She is HUGE but just a sweetheart. That is quite a tail on Yeti isn't it??

She is so adorable - and smart - why be outside when you can nap in a cool basement..

That is a very interesting couch.

Yeti is so cute. How'd you come up with her name again?

She looks very comfortable......but what is going to happen when you have company and need that fold out bed

Probably the same thing that happens when I visit my brother - his dogs decide that it is better to sleep with the company - they are two large (and well nourished) labs.

My husband came running outside one day,
"Honey! I think Boy swallowed something!"

I immediately panicked, thinking he was choking or something.
"What did he swallow? Do we need the vet?"

Hubby,
"He swallowed a magnet!"

Me,
"How did he get a hold of a magnet? Is he choking? Get him into the truck, let's get him to the vet. A magnet? What was he thinking?"

Hubby,
"I think it was a couch magnet."

Me,
"A COUCH magnet? What is a COUCH magnet?"

Hubby,
"I don't know how he got a hold of it, but it's definitely a couch magnet. As soon as I opened the door to let him inside, the couch magnet yanked him through the house and directly on to the couch. Now he's STUCK there."

Methinks Yeti swallowed a couch magnet.....
Good luck getting that couch magnet surgically removed!

Yep, Yeti's tail is a weapon! It can clean an entire table off and push small children over! She loves to be groomed and will stand still as a statue, but she hates when I brush her tail, she can't stand it!

As for the name, I was sitting in English class in grade 8 and the name just hit me like a ton of bricks! I knew I always wanted a Newfoundland, and Yeti just seemed like such a good name at the time. Now my next Newfoundland will be named Moosey, just wait and see!

Yeti and Moose. Has a nice tone don't ya think? So when are you bringing Moose home?

I plan on breeding Yeti next spring and if I keep one I'll name him/her Moosey!
