Awwww! That is just a wonderful story! I'm so appreciative of the men and women who serve in the military for their country.

The one thing that got to me was that some of the officers complained about having Nubs around the base...that strikes me as very, very odd? What possible complaint could they have had against a single dog? I thought most bases had a mascot or something of the like....

Anyhoo, all that aside, I commend this gentleman for taking Nubs in and to everyone who donated to raise money to bring Nubs here...well done!

that is an awsome story! i have a book about a marine and a dog named lava that he found in baghdad with a bomb strapped to its chest, the book is called (from baghdad with love) its an awsome book if you guy's get a chance read it!

That is one heck of a man and one heck of a dog.
I sit here crying---thanks for sharing this story of the 2 who won!

Oh yeah, 2 thumbs down for the sissies on the base that complained.
They need to remember the lesson in compassion and caring. It is not enough to be be the tough guy carrying the gun.
