New litter of Airedales pics added 11-7-09

As of this morning... early, early, this morning, starting at 1 AM, 10 new Airedales made their appearance. All went well, and we have 6 females and 4 males. SOOOOO glad that part is over. Most are already spoken for - another good thing. Now for a nap.... And no, we are not quite ready for pics - dog births are quite messy. But soon

New pups pics

Here are a couple promised pics. The first is one of the pups. The second is the whole litter taken the day they were born.

All are doing well, as is the momma, Camry. She is a wonderful mother!

I love Airedales!! My neighbor had one and he was such a smart, sweet dog. Your puppies are adorable.

Yeah, the way their color changes is amazing. A couple of pups have white toes, and most if not all of that will also go away. Years ago, some breeders thought their females had gotten mixed up with another breed when they saw the pups, not realizing that their color would change. I have had people stop to look at my pups playing in the front yard, thinking they were Rotties.

Momma and pups are doing wonderfully well. Mostly, I just admire, and give one or two of the smaller ones a head start if Camry is ready to feed
And keep Camry's food dish full!

Adorable babies. Mom looks a little worn out. I had an airedale when I was a kid, Gabe, he was a great dog.

Thanks for all the kind comments. They were one week old yesterday, and are gaining weight and growing nicely. Camry eats and feeds well - and best of all, all are sold except for the two I am keeping for the moment to see if anyone wants a potential show pup! Can't do much better than that... now if we can get a little bit of decent weather in Dec. so they can go outside a little bit, things would be perfect!

Some people are just never happy.... Was planning to post more pics when their eyes start to open, which should be next week. They have already grown a ton... of ounces, that is
