Smile Best Buds

Didn't know whether to post this under dogs or cats.

I visited my mom today in Florida, and got a couple very cute shots of her dog, Sheila, and kitty cat, Moon. They're best buddies, and so darned cute.

Those should be on the front of a greeting card or something. How adorable! I love the cat's markings too, and the look from the dog like "I'm only tolerating this, you know, because I'm so sweet"

I wish I knew of somewhere I could enter them for someone to do something like that with. I know I can put them on Kodak and make my own stuff out of them. Hmm.. there's a thought. I love Moon's markings, too. Someone dumped her at my mom's place and she's been there since. She's the sweetest cat ever. They already had a cat named Sunny so when we saw what looked like a crescent moon on her side, we named her Moon.

Interesting how we pick out friends, our horses, our dogs, and (even our noses) but cats pick us. All of ours are of the foundling variety, and their offspring. One even came spayed!

Moon came spayed, too. We found this very convenient in today's economy for someone to just leave a perfectly good cat, already spayed, and as sweet as they come in our front yard. When we found her we contacted all of the shelters/rescues nearby and the police, but no one came forward. So we just (happily) assumed she was a drop off and kept her.
