Is she Pinto Show worthy?

Breed: Pinto
Age: 7
Job: currently relearning the basics. . . the right way. She also enjoys chasing barrels and pinching my rear end. . .
Height: ABOUT 15'0
Sex: Mare

For those of you who have not met Blue yet: This is Blue.

The Reg. Pinto from a lovly (cough, choke, gag) horse trader.

Shes come a long way and I'm wondering how y'all think show would do in a halter class. . . I'll need to grab better pictures tomorrow *she says * of her legs and behind, but all in all, I don't think shes too bad.

She is HYPP NN
HERDA NN
and tested positive for the Sabino gene (I believe it was only Hert though)

How to Critique Horses - read this if you want to comment

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the rules about how to critique horses in the conformation clinic. Please check back here as this forum progresses since we will be making updates as we go along.

1. Be honest but friendly.
All horses have flaws -- you can certainly point them out. BUT, do not say things in a way that could be construed as rude or overly negative.
Keep all comments focused on the horse. Do not say anything critical about the owner.

2. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Just like how all horses have flaws, they all have good points. If you have something negative to say, be sure to also include a positive comment.
Keep things friendly -- give your comments the way you would if a good friend asked you for your opinion.

3. If you don't have anything conformation-related to say, please PM the horse's owner instead of replying in here.
People posting in this area are looking for conformation-related responses. Even if you're not well versed in conformation, please don't be shy about trying to critique the horse or ask questions about his/her conformation. But, since this is the conformation clinic, please make sure your response does pertain to conformation! Comments such as "he sure is pretty!" should be made via PM if you aren't also commenting on the horse's conformation.

4. People WILL say things you disagree with.
Keep your comments focused on your own ideas, and not reactions to other people's posts.
If you think you'll be bothered by seeing comments that you think are "wrong" - then don't visit this forum!!!
It is not your job to convince everyone that your opinion is correct. Say what you believe and let others come to their own conclusions.

If people have trouble following these rules, we will make critiquing by invitation only.

Her shoulders are upright but her back end looks nice and correct and her face looks nicely feminine. She looks pasture scruffy from those pictures so with scrubbing up she could probably do well in several classes (I don't show so beats me) but I mostly wanted to say that she looks like a rabicano like my old fart of a horse. A white tail head and lame bits of "roaning" are signs. Go team rabicano! Lol!

Im not a huge confo guru, and I dont know the level of shows in your area, but she is a cutie!! I think she would do better* in under saddle classes, just because she doesnt really fit any of the "normal" breed specs(qh type, arab type, saddlebred/morgan type etc)...
but i absolutly love her coloring

Once she gets good undersaddle, I plan on playing with her at everything until I figure out what shes good at. . .

Training:
She was greener than grass when she came and it will be a while before I can consider her borke for ANYTHING. . .

She likes to play with the barrels, and she has an AWESOME second barrel on her, (she has to run to the left to be any good at all at this point) but its not consistant with her third and shes still lead change retarded. (I've been working the "S and 8" to no avail. . . well, a 6:1 odds, and a trainer friend said the $ sign? (To turn so sharp they have to. . . but I'm think that may not work)

She likes jumping w/o a rider in the pen. . . gave me the ". . . . huh???" when I asked her to canter over a small fallen tree in a western saddle. . . after she figured out I was still there, she liked it. . . I think

Shes at the point where everything is FUN until she hurts herself. . . so we're exploring. . .

Conformation:
Otherwise, I'll try to grab more pictures fo her today from a different angle. . . mama said she looked slab sided. . . but second look, "alittle slab sided".

Show-wise:
We have the FPHA shows about an hour from here and I'm just trying to figure out if she'd do decently or not since she doesn't fit the stereo type for the pintos-that-look-like-paints bill.
