Zoey-2 1/2 yr old Paint Filly

Breed: Paint
Age: 2.5 Years
Gender: Filly/Mare
Height: 14 HH
Current Job: To Be A Spoiled Baby
Future Job: My Trail Riding Buddy
Additional Information: Just wanted ya'll to know she was under weight when I bought her Beginning of March So I am still trying to put weight on her. Some Pics where taken as late as Memorial day weekend some are more recent.
I hope as she grows and as I start working her she will muscle up. Other than a paint I don't know what she is other than a paint, any ideas??? Her papers where lost by owners before previous owner. Oh and also... She is from TN(just south of Nashville) if anyone reconizes her (her markings as a baby) I would really like to know her blood lines. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Thanks Again!!!!!!!

How to Critique Horses - read this if you want to comment

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the rules about how to critique horses in the conformation clinic. Please check back here as this forum progresses since we will be making updates as we go along.

1. Be honest but friendly.
All horses have flaws -- you can certainly point them out. BUT, do not say things in a way that could be construed as rude or overly negative.
Keep all comments focused on the horse. Do not say anything critical about the owner.

2. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Just like how all horses have flaws, they all have good points. If you have something negative to say, be sure to also include a positive comment.
Keep things friendly -- give your comments the way you would if a good friend asked you for your opinion.

3. If you don't have anything conformation-related to say, please PM the horse's owner instead of replying in here.
People posting in this area are looking for conformation-related responses. Even if you're not well versed in conformation, please don't be shy about trying to critique the horse or ask questions about his/her conformation. But, since this is the conformation clinic, please make sure your response does pertain to conformation! Comments such as "he sure is pretty!" should be made via PM if you aren't also commenting on the horse's conformation.

4. People WILL say things you disagree with.
Keep your comments focused on your own ideas, and not reactions to other people's posts.
If you think you'll be bothered by seeing comments that you think are "wrong" - then don't visit this forum!!!
It is not your job to convince everyone that your opinion is correct. Say what you believe and let others come to their own conclusions.

If people have trouble following these rules, we will make critiquing by invitation only.

looks like a walker cross to me. She has the head of a walker. Very pretty mare. She will probably fill out more as she gets older.

She looks VERY TWH to me. If she doesn't gait, then maybe she is a TWH/Paint cross. I have heard of non gaited TWHs that do start to gait later in life once in training, so if she doesn't gait now maybe she will later

I think with more weight, she is going to be a gorgeous looking TWH. JMHO

I don't think she's gaited but I'm not a professional at telling if she is gaited. Can you tell by not riding a horse???? She's not broke to ride yet. She does take wide steps when walking. I will have to Video tape her for ya'll. So you can see. She is currently 14HH, Exactly 56 in. I thought SSH are taller than that. Besides I thought she had a TWH typey head anyway. OK so heres a question..... The previous owners said she is REG but papers are lost ( never told me what she was reg as and never got names of parents) So a TWH horse CAN'T be reg as a paint right??? So could she have been reg as a Spotted TWH? Or spotted saddle horse?????

I'm sorry ya'll I'm just so confused about her..... Do I just need to say she's an unreg TWH with out knowing what she was reg. as??? Is it possible for a TWH to be not gaited?? I just don't know. I just knowthat I love her.

Well Check Back soon for videos. I will post videos Sunday night or monday.

It is possible to be spotted and reg as a TWH. And it is possible for her not to gait with or without a rider. The horse in my avatar is reg TWH and she trots in the field, but once she is saddled up she is as smooth as silk. So it is hard to say. But she is a very pretty girl.

Thank You she is a very pretty girl, can't wait for her to thickin up(in a few years--no rush to grow up).

The girl(Jessica) I bought Zoey from actually rescued her from the people that lost her papers(I bought Zoey just four months later). From what I was told the lady had like fifty horses and got to the point where she could not feed them all so she was selling some. Every time Jessica had tried calling the lady to get the parents names or the breeder contact info she never answers. So oh well.
