Question 3 year old Arabian--Bask bred

I have a 2 1/2 year old Bask-bred Arabian if anyone one like to critique her. I know I don't have straight on shots of front and back, but some of my pics have been corrupted. I'd appreciate any input..
Thanks..
Dru

I LOVE Bask bred arabians cuz i have one! I think she has a nice typie (sp?) face. Her angles look pretty good although her back legs look a little upright...overall i think she is as cute as a button

Thanks Kristina and Horsebaby... and...
Oran's Mom...I love then too - I have 4. I have her sister (Firestorm) who is 15.1HH and not 5 yet, so I imagine this one (Solei) will have some more catching up with her legs yet, and she already has great suspension. The both of them look like clones...

Although not a horse a would own for a personal riding horse, I have come to appreciate them here of late. (Thanks, Sue!) I find this mare very gentile, obviously very classic Bask, on the lighter fine side. With that in mind, this is what I see.

Overall classic Arabian Mare (filly). Lovely wide soft eyes with attentive ears. Maybe a little tight in the throatlatch but ties in well to a lovely shaped neck. Good withers, short backed and good heartgirth. Small, but classic lovely shaped hip and good set to the croup. Nice shoulder, that match pastern angles. Front legs look clean and straight, pasterns a little behind the hoof, very much the Arab norm, maybe a tad long though on her toes. Not sure as she is standing deep in the sand. Again good hip flow, a tad upright to her hocks, but legs look clean. Good rear pastern angles. One thing I do notice is a bit of thickening to the flexor and digital leg ligiments, would keep an eye on it. Maybe some support wraps when working. All in all, classic and gentile looking Arabian. She looks to be soft and sweet, and wishing you both many happy and healthy years together.

Very nice girl. I like her a lot.

She has a very feminine head, nice big eye and a nice classic Arab head. Good long neck, with a nice throatlach and nice attachment of neck to the chest.

I like the length of her back and her proportions. Nice croup and tail position (for an Arab for other breeds it would not be as desirable) and it is nice to see some roundndess in the croup area. Some Arabians can be table top flat. Also good angle to the shoulder.

She does seem kind of bum high right now and she may end of being a little downhill but she may still have a little growing to do. Also her pasterns seem a little long and her hoofs seem a little straight up but maybe it is decieving as she is in sand. I would be interested in seeing her feet on some pavement.

Luff her!

What Stallion is she by?

As usual we totally agree - I had a Bask grandson for years that I showed HUS.. small, but I swear he had wings

She is lovely.. and I hope you post more photos of her and often..

Who me, NEVER. Something about 1400pds. of raw power just gets to me! With no disrespect to this filly or Arabians and there owners intended, you do have to appreciate there beauty. I rode a Bask grandson as well a few times, felt like I was on a beach ball bouncing down the rail, and could touch my toes underneath him, just not enough horse for me.

You have long legs.. for a little short pint sized person like me, they are the perfect size.. I can get on and off without a mounting block..

She is beautiful!!! Lovely head and kind eye. I also love her color. I also like a slightly rounded hip instead of the straight line. She will grow into a very pretty mare. What are your plans for her?

She's from the Le Fire line. Her sire is Ha Le Fire and her dam is Tsylent Legacy. She's a Bask great-grand daughter. She is literally the last in that line as her sire was gelded shortly after her birth.

Thanks for all the honest comments everyone. I appreciate it.
If no one minds, I may post some pics of her sister once I get more recent shots and she how they compare...

Thanks again!

I'm little too. They're perfect for me. My gray Arabian is 14.1 - also Bask with Gdansk and Duel. And Solei's full sister has a very smooth trot, and is tall though..15.1 and still only 4. She's all legs and recently filling out nicely.

Here's a few pics of her..
The first is her and my other "girls." The second is from a year and a half ago; she's grown and filled out since then.

I am in love - what a perfect horse.... my Bask was a grey gelding... had a perfect dished head, a little high in the withers, but looked a lot in build like this one..

If only I could convince my husband to have an arab or two around again - silly cowboys are afraid of them... Horses are too smart..

I guess I have to see where her talent lies. Most people think her and her sister would make great English show horses, but I prefer western. Showing isn't a priority for me and I don't know that much about it. My horses are primarily for pleasure riding and breeding in the future. They're meant to be companions. All of them are well mannered and kind. The filly out of my gray mare (18 months) has 6 lines to Bask, double Duel and Gdansk, and is the fastest thing I've ever seen...natural sliding stops and turns on the dime..has a big butt like her mom, so she has some talent in that department.
If I can learn more about showing, I know these girls would do well.

There is some big money in cutting arabs right now - as well as reining shows..if she is that good, she might be your show prospect right there..
