Breed: Thoroughbred (JC Registered, unraced)
Used for: Previously had a long career in Hunters, and Stadium jumping. Currently schooling dressage.

(Older) Conformation, not the best shot..

Square under saddle:

Head: Her ear was cut at age 6, before we owned her.. Which is why the tip of it looks funny.

Nice shoulder angle, small hip angle. Might interfere with dressage, she won't get the stride length from behind (does that make sense...I know what I mean )

Pasterns more upright than her shoulder, but I don't know what that means.

Nice head and neck, very cute nose! Looks beautiful on the bridle.

Built very uphill, which should be a good thing in her previous career and her dressage one, but she's a bit sway-backed. It could be high withers throwing me off, but that's what I see.

Body is a touch small for her head and neck...I'd like to see her with a bigger butt (again, with the big butts) Then again, she looks very fit, and the big butt thing is kind of a Hunter trait...not necessary in Dressage.

Nice looking horse, and she looks to be in excellent shape, especially for her age. Good luck with her, perfect time to get her into some Dressage!

Thank you very much! She is a bit sway backed, coming in with age but has HUGE withers... And you're right, her hip angle doesn't give her the best of reach behind, but she makes due with what she's got.. But I'll definitely be sure to tell her she has a cute nose

In the first pic the saddle placement looks too far forward, forcing the pommel to be higher than the cantle. A back that is low behind the withers is inclined to make the saddle want to slip forward.
