Shoulder Conformations

Can someone help me finally figure out HOW you all see a sloping or straight shoulder???? I don't know how you see what you see.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but was reading the posts already here on the horses and almost all of you comment on the shoulder...so how DO you tell what kind of shoulder a horse has? Also, I have heard many times that horses with flat shoulders make good dressage horses so in addition to understanding how to view a shoulder, what does it mean for the horse insofar as their skill???

This post just screams NOVICE all over it!

No I think a visual would be good, I have wanted to see differences as well.

Can someone who knows what they are doing find some pictures on horses (drawn or real) and use the paint progrem or whatever to put a thin line of color showing the slope of the shoulder.

And the angle of the pasterns are supposed to match so maybe a line on those as well

Here's a link that's pretty obvious:

Look where the neck and shoulder meet and follow that line.

#1 and #2's are quite sloping and #3 very straight

Here's a pic with the line drawn in
