Solei- Flaxen Chesnut-VERY PIC HEAVY!!

Please critique my girl, Solei; I know many of you are familiar with her...

Breed: Arabian, Polish - Bask; Ivanhoe Tsultan; Cognac, Rohara, Serafix
Age: 4
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.2
Horse's current job and future intended uses: Trail, possible English Pleasure/ Halter; open to suggestions.

Additional Information:

I know her feet are long; farrier has been ill - is due out this week. Solei is still growing and is a bit fuzzy in the pics. She is very hard to square up sometimes and tends to "lean." The ones in which she's actually straight are when she's loose..

First of all- I love her color. So deep and rich, becautiful.

I think she maybe has a slightly long back, and looks a little butt-high... but she almost still has a baby look to her, too. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard arabs mature a little later than other breeds?

I do think she's very pretty, love her face and I think her neck looks nice. Sorry, I'm not very good at conformation.

She is very beautiful.

I dont know anything about arabs but i like her face, she doesnt have such an exagerated dish and i like that on them, not sure if thats the breed that she is or not to not have that extreme dished face

Just wanted to say that you know you captured a dragonfly in the last pic...
I think its pretty cool.

hello dru!! Your mare is very beautiful her color is very deep and rich. The only things that I can see is her back is a little long and it may be difficult for her to get her hind end under herself for deep collection and she is very slightly cow hocked. Other than that I hope she does well in what ever you use her for. And she does have the cutest baby face

Ok, she may be a little long in the back and a bit cow-hocked. Sweet head, beautiful neck, ties in well, terrific legs- short cannon bones and I love her pasterns. If you ever get tired of her I would make the drive from Kansas!!
Talk to your farrier about the hocks, he can make some ajustments while she's still maturing.

Yes, Arabs do mature slowly; her sister is 6 1/2 and is just now looking like an Arab. Solei is a bit butt-high lately and I think she's going through a growth spurt..

Thanks Amy!!

I just wanted to say that Solei is absolutely gorgeous! I don't know much about arab conformation, but I do know that she looks to be a bit cow hocked and it looks like her rear hooves toe out just a bit, not too much and she does have a gorgeous face! Good luck with her in the future with anything you do with her.

Thanks Kristen; I hope she grows into her long back and fills out a bit more to be more balanced...

She is a great colour and very cute. I agree about the butt being high and also that she will likely even out. I thought her neck looked thick but then I realized she doesn't have a long bridal path...duh...I am tired what can I say? She looks like she has some filling out to do and some growing yet. She is a stuner for sure, have fun with her.
