Sharing GOOD NEWS (for once)

Last Friday night found an abandoned 8 week old kitten. Dying, near starvation and something had attacked it. Thank god the vet was open on Saturday. It was a Saturday before a holiday AND a hurricane we thought was coming our way. I thought the only thing that could be done for it was to kindly put it to sleep as it was suffering so. It also has permanent neurological damage.

The vet took it back, I thought to put it to sleep. She sent her tech out to tell me that she thought she could save it. I have 2 feral mommas, 1 rouge hateful male stray and 9 kittens. I have no where for the little thing. These are just the strays. I have fixed 4 other feral kitties, 1 momma and 4 kittens. This doesn't count my 2 cats, 5 dogs, 2 horsies. I still have 1 mama and 5 kittens and rouge hateful tom cat to fix.

GOOD PART - My vet said she would doctor it and give it a chance if I would find a home for it. It survived the weekend and today the Feral Cat Coalition in the county next to me agreed to take it. I take it from my vet tomorrow to their vet where it will continue it's treatment.

They know it will be a "special needs" kitty the rest of it's life because of it's injuries. They actually hold a "special needs" kitty adoption. So this little discarded baby is going to have A GOOD LIFE!!!!!! I can't believe the people who came together to give this baby a chance at life.

Anyways just wanted to share a GOOD story and let folks know that there are GOOD people out there. Sometimes you think there's noone out there anymore that really cares. Yippy they do!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is nice to hear some good stories sometimes. To often all we get to see and read about are the abandoned and abused. Bless you for taking the 1st step in his now happy life - giving him a chance. If everyone could just do one random act of kindness whenever the opportunity appeared - it would be a better world.

Me too. I love a happy ending - or beginning, in this case.

I am so glad to hear the kitty is still hanging in there! You are a rare soul Kip! I know it is hard for you with all your animals, but I wish the world had more people like you! Then maybe the ones who do care wouldn't be so burdened
