Blech. Don't you just love it when they leave "presents". Half-eaten is just gross though.

Ah, presents. Hobbes brought me a lovely gift one day. It was a head, and front legs, then nothing but spine, then hips and back legs and a tail. He liked the soft center the best, apparently. eeeeeewwwwwww. I am so glad my kitty loves me.

Scrapchick - Hobbes Kitty just likes the creamy filling.

Breburtch - Gag, ick, that's just NASTY.

Mellow just plays with things, then he takes them to the basement before I can take them away from him. After that I have no idea what happens, I never see them again. He also steals small items and takes them to the basement. Some day I shall find his stash.

Awwh..Your kitty loves you.At least its not dropping live things on you while your sleeping. I got a fluttering bird in my face one morning.I don't think my kitty has ever tried to eat anything, she'd get grossed out.

Oh Hobbes brought me a live mouse once.....while I was IN BED. I screamed loud enough to wake the dead. Jesse was about 7 and came running in and saved the day. I was up on a chair making girlie squeals and my brave little man grabbed the cat with the mouse in his mouth, calmly opened the front door, shook the cat till he dropped the mouse, brought said cat back indoors, and went back to bed. I felt pretty silly.

Oh gross. My cat likes to leave 'presents' for me too. Unfortunately, the ones she leaves are often like you found (partially or mostly eaten) and I've stepped in her gifts a couple of times.

I call my boys the three stooges . . . . they are all declawed, so watching them try to take down a mouse is pretty darned funny. A bat bat here, and a bat bat there, here a bat, there a swat, e i e i o . . .

Then again, there are days I wish they weren't declawed. LIke the day my dishwasher stopped working, and I discovered all the piping underneath had been chewed through by mice. I ended up catching 14 of those suckers in traps over the next few weeks!!!

Yuck... My cats are barn cats now because they kept ripping the screen and dragging in dead birds, eating the BF's sons gerbils, and my poor little finches I got when I worked at the petstore I said you want to be a killer, go outside and kill the critters in the barn. I have ONE cat inside who is the most insecure needy animal so he wouldnt survive a day outside. They are all spayed, and love the barn

Last Tuesday morning, I went out to feed my outside cats & as I opened up the door, I looked down & saw something.... I'm thinking that's not what I think it is, is it???? So, I cracked the door more so there was more light & to my horror- there was a snake down there. It wasn't very big & I was like I am NOT putting my foot down there to see if it's still alive, but I could tell it wasn't. Disgusting! And of course that was the day I was sick to my stomach, so seeing that in the morning didn't help matters. My cats like to kill snakes- which, hey, I guess is a good thing because I H A T E snakes!

HoldYourHorses, at least your cat kills the snake! Last summer, mine was bringing them in alive and letting them go. They were just little copper belly snakes but still. . . in the house!?

Nope didn't look like that. Double that and looked more like an oversized grey hamster.

A couple of years ago, they (brother & sister) were playing with one.. I watched it, freaked out that it was going to kill them & it would strike at them & they would play with it...... don't have a clue what kind it was... Sorry, a good snake is a dead snake! YUK!!!!!!!!
