Plz to meet...

Spearmint.

Our inside/outside kitty Princess Fifi disappeared and our oldest son (and I) was just heartbroken. I know that such is the risk of outdoor cats.

My husband felt so badly about it that he told our son he could get his "very own" house kitten as long as he was responsible for it, so last Saturday we picked Spearmint up from the Morrison County Humane Society. He is about nine weeks old and super friendly.

Note: The first three pics were taken by the humane society.

And this one was taken the day he came home!

Radar hates him so far, and Sneaky likes him, and Fluppy looooves him. She loves everybody.

I want another cat soooo bad. This one is super cute!!

I keep seeing signs for "FREE KITTENS, TO GOOD HOMES", as my husband & I drive down the road. I asked him to stop, he steps on the gas and tells me
"We're not a good home". I married a Joker..

Congrads on your kitty!!

We had one outdoor kitty and she got eaten by coyotes, so now ours are all indoor.

Congrats on your new baby That is the cutest kitten! I love the white markings and tabby stripes! He just looks so cute, soft and fuzzy!

Yep, we said no more outdoor kitties for us. Sneaky was an outdoor cat when we got him four years ago and he is now indoor/outdoor; I figure if he's made it that long he's obviously smart enough to handle himself. That and he hardly ever leaves the porch. But he will be our last outdoor cat.

My sister asked me why we are such snobs that we always have to have matching cats. I guess we are just drawn to grey cats:

LOL We've had matching cats, too! We've always had orange tabbys and siameses.

He reminds me of my little Walter when he was a baby! So cute!

I had a hard time letting Dr. O go outside, but the three outdoor boys have fared well, so far.

He is apparently named after gum, because he had a brother at the HS named Juicy Fruit. Somehow, the name Spearmint just stuck. We tried to name him Zak but gave up after calling him Spearmint for about the fourteenth time.

Ahhh. We used to go thru that with kitties at the HUmane Society. Using Kitty's name as a "key" in MS Access means each kitty has to have a unique name. We had one batch of kittens brought to us after being dumped in the local river () so we named them: Nile, Mississippi (Missi for short), and Danube. Lame? Perhaps. But unique.

Yeah the shelter I used to work in did the same thing. They would also name a cat after people who worked there. I was ever so lucky to have a grouchy long haired grey named after mebut she turned out to be a sweety in the long run, although my parents tell me it's because we both had the same moody personality

They also had 2 cats come that were found living under a dumpster so naturally they were named dumpster and trashy

Then there were the 4 little ones that were rescued from a guy who said he was going to use them for fish bait since momma died. They were named Musky, Pike, Hook, and Minnow
