Why is my cat being such a BRAT!!!???

Up until about 1 month ago my year old cat never went after toilet paper.
The second time he did I started hiding it in the drawer...semed to work. Wel until yesterday-when he went into the bag and dragged one out. OK fine-I wrapped the bag up and wedged it into a corner. Came home from church to find he had gone into the bag again and this time dragged out 2 or 3 rolls and decimated them.
I just don't get it-I even dug out his favorite toy from under the couch to make him happy. Now I have the rolls hidden and the bathroom door is to be closed all of the time (not that that will happen with an 8 year old in the house).
Anyone-any ideas??

Is he fixed yet?
some cats are very mischievious while intact and mellow out once they've had the snip snip treatment. Or maybe he's bored with his regular toys and needs something thats more interasting to play with.
What about getting one of those cat trees? doesn't have to be a big one and one of those rings with the ball inside cats will chase that for hours trying to release the ball from the circle. could also tie toys to bunging string and hang from door knobs etc

Because he's a cat! It's what cats do! Shredding toilet paper is fun!

Seriously, as a long time cat owner, removing the toilet paper from his reach is your only real answer. He's discovered just how much fun it is to shred a roll, so next time he's bored looking for something to do, he's going to remember how much fun it was and look to repeat it. And, if he can get to it, he will!

Yes he is fixed-and I know how tempting toilet paper can be-but seriously this only just started. And he rips into it with his teeth (not claws). The only significant difference is I have sprayed my couches because they will not stop scratching on them. They have their scratching carpet on the wall.

I had one that used to claw open the bathroom cabinets, dig open the boxes of 'femine hygiene' products, pick a tampax out and then go running wildly throughout the house with it clenched between his teeth like a pirate dashing about with his sabre clenched between his teeth ...... ARRRRGH!!!

your cat must know my old cat...accept she would only do this when I had people over

although I must admit it was pretty funny the one day my cousin was over one day and brought her boyfriend and daughter(she was about 2 1/2 then)with her and I had 2 guys over and te cat brought one out and was chasing it around and Zoe annunces loudly hey mommy the kitty must wear a front bum plug like you

everyone was in hastrics while my cousin went beat red

I swear to god that cat liked embarrassing me she enjoyed dragging my bra's and panties out for all to see also
