RIP Sassy

I just had to have my 20 year old cat, Sassy, put to sleep. She was having trouble breathing and eating. She just laid on her bed the last few days. I feel terrible, I asked my son to take her. I couldn't do it. I've always been there when all my animals have been put down, but I just couldn't do it this time.
RIP Sassy, have fun with your brother Red up there.

I'm so sorry to hear the news. It sounds like she had a wonderful long life with you and she was very loved. Its okay that you couldn't take her to the vet yourself. There is no right or wrong way to say goodbye.
RIP Sassy

She had such a long loving life with you. Don't kick yourself for not being there with her. She knew you loved her.

My son just got home from the vets. She died as they were about to inject her. They think her heart was bad. I feel bad she had to be so stressed at the end of her life, but she is in a better place now. Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. It's hard, I lost one of my dog, horses and cat in the same year

Wow 20, sorry for your loss but 20 . Don't know any cat that has lived that long. Good for you.

So many losses

I agree you gave her a great life to get to 20 years. She was clearly ready to go, but it never seems like it is long enough with a special one like Sassy.

There are no words that can take away your pain. The picture in your mind of Sassy and Red playing in heaven will help.

((((hugs)))) prayers for sweet comfort. We are here for you in your time of deep grief.

R.I.P. Sassy (also for your dog and horse )

So sorry for your loss. Sending lots of ((((( HUGS ))))) your way. I had to have my 21 year old cat put down a few years ago and it was the hardest decision I have every had to make . . . . I had the old boy for longer than I was married, had kids, etc... May Sassy R.I.P.

I am sorry- it's really hard. My Penny I had for 20 of her 23 years...she died the night before the vet's appointment. 8 years ago, and I still think of her often, and miss her.

I know what you're going through...but I also know that you gave her a good, long, loving life, and that she is now at the Rainbow Bridge...hanging out with Red, and waiting for you to join her, many many years from now.

Best-
Noni

I am so very sorry, I lost my dear old Thomasina at 18, it's so hard to lose one who has been a part of your life for so long.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Sassy! ((((HUGS))))
