Prayers for Jubi please...

She got out this morning and we have severe storms and hail here. She is an inside cat, never been around the neighborhood and the weather is bad! I am worried about her We have been whistling for her for a while and no response. She always comes to a whistle. She must be so scared.

Poor girl, is she able to get under the house, or is there a barn she might have gone too? More than likely, she has found herself a dry cubby hole somewhere. Inside cats still know they need to hide if they are scared and things around them are unsettled. Will keep her in my thoughts however that she returns home safe and sound.

We live in town and there are a few places around the neighborhood she could hide like wood piles and under sheds. I am very worried about traffic and mean dogs though. She has her claws for protection against canines but that wouldn't help against a car.

She's a soft, fluffy, grumpy gal but we've come to an understanding and I miss her. She sleeps with me, gives kisses and follows me from room to room and in turn, I agree to give kisses and a couple scratches before 5am on her chin and otherwise just let her stand or lay next to me, leaving her be as she prefers.

Keep the faith, God takes special care of his little creatures! She probably is scared, found a hiding place and is afraid to come out just yet.
Have her food ready, she will be hungry!!
You are both in my prayers.

No Jub Jub yet this morning. This is her favorite time of day too - she doesn't get crabby for at least another hour when she is here where she belongs.

I jingled our dog door bell since it would be a very familiar sound to her that she loves. When here she comes running to the door with the dogs so she can act all nonchalant and try to single file out behind them as if she was just one of the pack.

She also comes running to me when I do a single tone long whistle. When she's here and I dont know where she is in the house I whistle and she comes running and head butts me and then sits down next to me. But that has not worked either.

Thanks for the prayers. I hope she will come home when daylight comes.

she may be too scared to come running to familiar noises.......a pet finding expert was interviewed on NPR one time, and I found her advise to be on the nose.........when a house cat gets out, they are generally terrified, and will hide very close to the door /home, So, look very carefully in hidey spots right under your nose, calling or whistling. I know when out house cats have gotten out, that advise has held true.
Good luck with her, poor girl.....

Oh poor kitty. Sending prayers that you find her soon. She is very pretty. I agree with looking close to home. Put up some flyers. Let the neighbors know she is missing.

We did more searching, especially at the neighbor's who has a woodpile, row boat upside down and a shed among other things...we didn't see her anywhere. My daughter put a can of wet food on the front step but there are no nibbles out of it. I have left the garage open most of the day hoping she would run in and call like thats she's home. I woke up every 2 hours last night to look out the windows but all I saw was cold wet ground.

Don't give up, sometimes it can take days!!
It has been long enough to go door to door, post flyers (with pics), call all the local veterinarians, shelters and make a lost cat report to the police.
My local paper runs lost and found ads for free, check yours.
Someone may have found her and that's why she can't come back!

I've known house cats to dissapear for several days, then come home just fine.

we did ask our neighbors to keep an eye out for her so that is helpful. And I did web site work for the county Humane Society so can keep an eye on them also. I am just hoping someone did take her in so she wasnt out last night. It was a horrible night for weather with high winds, bad rain, thunder, lightning and hail.

Someone would know she belonged to a person, she is soft as silk, well groomed, nails trimmed and good weight. She looks like she has a home. I dont use collars though for fear of choking so she has no identifying tags.

No Jubi yet. The food has not been touched, no signs that she has been near either. It rained again last night - she has a thick plush coat so I hope she is inside or she is wet and cold also. The entire neighborhood knows she is missing and I notified the Humane Society for our county that she ran away. Hopefully today!
