Just a Little Rant about a so called cat rescue PICTURES and Video of other cat.

So I took 8 kittens in as fosters for a cat rescue. I told them that I COULD NOT and WOULD NOT keep them longer than 2 weeks. I am moving and can not have any other animals. Needless to say it has been 3 weeks. I have called and called, and never get a call back. I have called at all hours, STILL no call back. Now, these little guys were all VERY sick, I have payed out of pocket...even though I was told that it would all be taken care of...food, litter, everything I have had to pay for. I live in a small appartment and as the little ones get healthy, I am trying to seperate them from the sick ones, while keeping them away from my pets. I have payed and payed, and I love them, but the little sick ones are now dropping like flys. And I just can not afford to take them back to the ER, but I can not get ahold of the Rescue. I'm just upset. I have lost half of my babies in 8 hours. Any ideas? I just can not take them back... I have spent hundereds on kittens that I had nothing to do with. I got a message from the lady just now, and now I am flaming. She says " Sorry, I can not take them because I just took in 30 from a shelter " I'm sorry but, WTF?! Why would you take on 30 more sick kittens, when they won't even take care of the ones they have? Again, just a rant.

I love to help to, but not when I have have to foot 1000.00 vet visits for kittens who are sick and dieing. I wish I could do more for them, but I really can't keep them, so I am going to hand them over a true rescue, that will get them the care they so desperatly need. It is so unfair that they should have to suffer because of others and myself.

If I were you I would find out more about this lady's rescue. perhaps she is just using that as an excuse to profit from the kittens, and not look out for the animals best interest.
If she were that concerned that she would help you resolve your problem with the vet costs and kittens.

If I was near you I'd be more then happy to help you out as I've did cat rescue and fostering and have had to nurse extremly sick kittens back to health.
Had 5 little ones no more than 1 week and half old I fostered 2 years ago all were very sick and contagious and 2 vets told me they highly doubted any of them would survive the night. well I cared for them for 2 weeks feeding them washing them administering meds etc. I had 2 cats and 3 dogs at the time so had them locked in my bathroom. With towels at the bottom of the door and the fan going to suck the infected air out. I had to put on shoes and clothes on top of my clothes when I'd go in with them and wear gloves and put my hair up with a hat on when i'd leave I had to spray my clothes with disinfect stuff and scrub my hands etc with hand wash. well all 5 babies lived and are now 2 years old and adopted homes living happy healthy lives.

but best of luck with the remaining babies and hope all goes well and you can find help

Hi guys, I look they ALL to an ER vet. Esplained the situation and they took them, free of charge and are treating them. I went to see them yesterday, and all are doing very well. Only 3 little ones have survived. They are being treated for Distemper. Poor little dears. I am going to adopt the little one I call Zowwo, a cute little black and white. The others are another little black and white named Squeeker ( because you say Squeeker! he says MEEEW!! ) And Munchkin, the itty bitty black with the yucky eye.

Well, this sounds like more answered prayers! That clinic is staffed with angels. Distemper is awful, you did very well in keeping the 3 alive that long! Please don't beat yourself up for the ones who didn't make it. Distemper will kill and quickly. Having 3 survive is a miracle!
They sound like such cuties!! Pics would sure be nice .

That so called rescue needs to be investigated. You need a hug for being such a nice tolerent person. Glad the kittys are ok and that you are keeping one. That is usually what happens to me when i take care of baby kittys. LOL

Yes distemper is very deadly. That was what the 5 a had had just couldn't think of the name of it till I seen it lol. I was very suprised and pleased the 5 I took in all survived one because what they had, 2 because they weren't anymore then 1 and a half weeks old, and 3 both vets highly doubted any would survive as they were so far gone and in horrible shape.

You did the right thing taking them to the vets and getting help. Unless you have the experiance. not to mention all the set up and time etc to care for kittens that are that sick the best thing todo is hand them over to someone else that will be able to help them.

Look farward to seeing pics and here all about the little guy you will be taking home once all is well

I will get you all pictures today. The 3 little ones are doing very well and Zowwo is home with me....sitting on my shoulder as I type this. I am so upset over the whole with because I work with another cat rescue...I have bottle fed 150 kittens in 2 years and I have NEVER lost a single one. Then I start working this this place and I have only gotten sick kittens!! I will link a vidio of a Mother cat who had 5 2 week old babies nursing on her. She came right from their vet!!

I'm sorry you are having to deal with such a mess. I agree with what someone else said about having the so-called rescue looked into though. She doesn't sound like much of a rescue if she wouldn't even return your calls regarding the sick little ones.

you can report them buying going through the spca and also getting the cops involved if you know there location etc and can prove what they have done and have the spca and cops look into it and check up on them
