Please pray for little Willow. got pics. She's Home!!!

Willow is not even a year old yet! She had been limping, couldn't figure out why (vet couldn't either) I noticed she was breathing very fast, no panting or noises, just really fast. Took her to the vet this afternoon, he did check her leg but wanted to take xrays for the breathing. Her lungs are horrible!!! There is fluid and he said the lung tissue looks bad. It could be anything from cancer or heart problems all the way to infection or allergic reaction. From deadly to easily treatable.
It wouldn't be as bad if it weren't for getting an actual diagnosis. Taking lung tissue for a biopsy is risky enough under normal circumstances, but it's even worse for her. He is keeping her overnight to medicate her, with antibiotics, steroids, and diurectics (sp?). At least we can see if she improves. I am to call him tomorrow afternoon to check.
Willow is such a sweet, quiet little girl!!
I will post pics in a little while, haven't been on photobucket in just long enough I can't remember my password!!! Willow looks like a siamese.

Has the vet ruled out FIP? If so, I had a siamese that died within a year and a half of his life.....from trying to breathe for 2 days (resembled a child with asthma) and the lungs showed no real evidence of a problem on an xray-just a touch of fluid in one small section but to the doctor, the pipes looked necrotic in areas (it wasn't a normal URI or pneumonia).....he died the next day at the vet.....still unknown as to why....but he acted like something was stuck in his throat and there wasn't anything in there and he could breath out better than he could breath in.....he didn't respond to any meds the doctor gave him and he was on his way out as I was talking to him on the phone....I hate it when something happens like that and it remains unknown....I hate not knowing....because there's always Q's in my mind, could I have done something, can I keep this from happening again?.....and you can't answer those Q's because you don't know what it is....I searched every possible thing around the house that he could have gotten into....nothing.

I sure hope Willow gets better fast!

windwalker, the vet is running many blood tests. I quess I didn't say that, just trying meds. But he is running quite a few tests. He said to call him tomorrow, I asked morning or afternoon. He said afternoon so they could get all the results.
It's going to be the pitts waiting to call, for the results and to know how she is doing. I do have my farrier coming in the morning with 7 horses to trim, so at least I'll be busy.
This vet and I have known each other for about 3 decades. He's not the type to look really serious unless he feels it probably is. That's what worries me the most. He was even giving me the option to euthanize her! Of course he knows I don't give up without a fight! I won't let her suffer, but she didn't appear to be in actual pain. I'm sure she's uncomfortable. She is running some fever, not real high. Any possibility that this may be something treatable is not a possibility that I will leave!! I believe in miracles and I believe in the power of faith.
I promise to update you just as soon as I find out anything!!

hope it is nothing serious. Maybe you could just call in the morning and see how she did over night. Just for your piece of mind. Sending prayers your way. Keep us posted.
