Yikes! Feral babies on the way!

Just witnessed "our" Wild Cat (he has been hanging around the barn/house for years, and even comes for food when I call him) mounting
"Yellow Cat" (aren't we clever with the names?) out in the pasture. silly me, these past few months I thought Yellow Cat was just a young Tom, taken to hanging around where the food was plentiful and life not so hard!I guess we will be hosting babies in the barn this summer, since both cats like to hang out there. Not sure if i like the idea of a bunch of kttens around.....too hard to keep disease free, and sometimes my house cat does escape into the wilderness of the driveway and barn.

Just so you know I have 6 males and they will mount each other and I think even do the act to each other so hopefully you just have some confused kitties and not a male and female. The only way to know for sure is to catch sight of the franks and beans on Yellow cat!

Ditto ilovepaints. You may just have some "gay" cats on your hands.

Have you thought about trapping them with a humane trap and getting them fixed? If not you could be over run with feral cats in just a few years.

Huh.........I knew cows mounted each other, but never knew that about male cats!! Hoefully, that IS the situation we have here.
I cannot get close enough to Yellow Cat to actually determine sex..he/ she is VERY spooky, even watching us thru the windows, prepared to run.
On the other hand, Wild Cat has been here for about 8 years, and lets me get within about 2 ft from him when pouring food into dish. Never any other "wild" cats around, and my 2 barn females were spayed. (now deceased thanks to a fox)......so truthfully, never really thought about trying to trap and neuter the old boy.
I believe I just read an ad in Horse of Del. Val. about an organization that will trap feral cats for neutering.....gotta check that out again and take some action.
Thanks for the input!
