Lucy is growing quite fast these days. I guess that kitten chow must be working!
Newest Lucy stuff: She has discovered what 'Feline Greenies' are (a cat treat) and if I so much as crinkle the bag she will come running up to me and practically climb up my leg to get even just a sniff. I call it kitty cocaine since she looks like an addict. I gave her one the other day and tucked the bag into a shelf on my desk. She ate the first one, hopped up on my lap, hopped on the desk, and crawled into the shelf. I was busy with someone online and by the time I noticed the crinkling sound, she had un-stuck the baggie and pushed it out onto the desk, spilling another treat!

I took the baggie,s he took the treat, and then ran like h*ll.

She cracks me up.
Also - I bought two hermit crabs in Galveston during the Houston trip. They are HUGE as far as hermit crabs go. At first, Lucy hated them and would hiss at their cage everytime she heard them move. Then I put one out on a towel on the desk for her to sniff (I kept an eye on his claw). After deciding he smells like tasty fish / oceanlife - she tried to bat him around like a common cat toy. I put him back, and shut the lid. She is now determined to get inside the crab tank and play with her "flavorful-smelling" friends. (And yes - they do smell that way - even to my nose).

Here is Lucy trying to figure out what those "fishy-smelling rocks" are.
Since the trip to Houston, Lucy has become very clingy. I feel bad leaving her at my mom's house (where she could play with my sister's cat) for an entire week but it went okay. Except now she hates to be locked out of rooms (never a problem before) and has recalled that she was a lumberjack in a past life. Or maybe a squirrel. Anyone ever have a several-pound kitten climb up your leg and onto your shoulder with just their claws?

Ow.

Here is Lu at Mom's House - drinking the dog's water becase she and my sister's cat knocked over their own at some point and it had since absorbed into the carpet.

And the gray on the tip of her nose is from her getting past the screen and into Mom's fireplace.
Last night I was eating a banana and she came up and sat on my lap and gave me the Puss-In-Boots face so I gave her a tiny morsel. She ate hers, I ate mine, she looked annoyed that I hadn't left her any - so she went off to mooch apple from Stephen.
Is all this fruit okay for a cat?

A life of mooching sure tuckers a kitty out! (and yes - she is sleeping like that).
