Will the real Pluma please stand up?

Today is a 90 degree+ day, and very humid, and I don't have the A/C installed in the windows yet. All three kitties are making it quite clear they are not very happy.

Pluma I would have to think has it the worst. I belive he may be part maine coon and part persian - his fur is ultra-soft, and there is a LOT of it.

So I decided to give my brand new Oster Pro Horse hair trimmer on the little guy and see how it would turn out. He really freaked for about 30 seconds, but I dug right in there and as soon as he saw it coming off, I swear he just lay there like in a trance. Didn't even flinch.

I tell ya, he's one smart little booger, because after about 10 minutes I shut off the trimmer and started to clean up (getting the furr off my hands and face), and he looked at me like, "What about this?!?" and started trying to clean the beard beneath his chin which gets all tangled up and is so long he can't even get to the end of it when he stretches his head wtih a good long lick.

So anyway, here are the after pictures. Sorry I didn't think to get befores. And since the fur blends in so well with the bed spread, I outlined the pile of fluff in the second picture. No, I did not deliberately shape it in the form of a cat. I swear.

Poor baby He does look comfortable on that spread. With all the fur you left him, I am surprised the pile is as large as it is!
