Names?

OK so..... I just acquired a house cat..well....3-4month old kitten. She is all white with long hair. She's up my butt 24/7 LOL She is really playful and has to be on my lap all the time. She has a 1/2 length tail as she is a Manx mixe. I will try to get some photos, but no promises. My camera goes through spurts. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I need names!!!!!!

FYI - the tail thing is not b/c it is a "manx mix". The tail-less cat (commonly called Manx) actually has a dominant gene for spinal deformity. Any homozygous cats would have no spinal formation at all and die in utero. The manx cat is heterozygous and the presence of one healthy "no spinal deformity" gene means he is born with no tail (an extension of his spine).

If yours has only half a tail I would check it for injury. Does it bend one way or another? Does the bone seem to extend past the flesh so that the end of the tail is thin and hard?

He could also have a genetic problem due to inbreeding or a number of other causes.

I'd have him neutered if he isn't already - just to stop the potential for spinal deformities from being passed on to future generations. ANd congrats on adopting him - he sounds adorable!

I had a manx mix that had a partial tail. Solid gray female I named Tundra. Had a pur as loud as a chainsaw.

Would love to see pics of Dexter.
